| At the beginning of 2004,the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China held a series of activities under the cultural brand of "Looking at Shanxi through Chinese Civilization",including the large-scale Chinese orchestra "The Roots of China".The work consists of seven movements, with "Shanxi Merchants" being the fourth movement.Jing Jianshu created the music from a new musical perspective. The first chapter is about the composer’s life, the creative background of his works, and the elaboration of his works,so as to have a general understanding of the creative source of "Shanxi Merchants".The second chapter of this article analyzes its musical form structure and pitch materials. In terms of overall structure, the work is divided into four major parts: [A] [B] [C] [A1].From the perspective of Western musical form structure division,it is a reproducible four-part structure with an introduction and an ending, which is rarely seen in traditional Western musical form structure division. Therefore,it is more appropriate to treat this work according to the principle of "starting and ending" in traditional Chinese music.Regarding pitch materials, from the perspective of vertical structure,it seems that the pitch of Chinese traditional ethnic style chords occupies a dominant position.Composers use third degree chords and their variants, while non third degree chords embody the national character in the entire work; From the perspective of horizontal structure, polyphonic music is reflected in this work through horizontal development and vertical integration. The third chapter analyzes the embodiment of the musical elements of Jin Opera in "Shanxi Merchants".In the mode analysis of "Shanxi Merchants",it combines the traditional mode characteristics of Jin Opera, such as the commonly used modes of Jin Opera, the falling tones of the upper and lower sentences in the modes, and the use of core tones; The melody and emotion reflect the singing characteristics of Jin Opera, such as splints, guide boards, and stacked boards; On the basis of Chinese orchestra, the band of Jin Opera Wenwuchang was joined, expanding the band system. The fourth chapter analyzes the use of new timbre and special orchestration techniques in the work. The composer uses traditional instruments such as plucked music and string music to hit the panel;Creatively using the abacus as a musical instrument; The addition of folk musical instruments such as Moujing and Four Tiles provides new possibilities for the personalization and inner expression of the work. |
