| With the diversification of social life, people’s emotional experience becomes richer and more changeable.People need to actively adjust the negative emotions generated to adapt to the current environment and better invest in the current social communication or study and work. However, the increasing frequency and time of mobile phone use in today’s society has led to an increasing number of mobile phone addicts. What adjustment strategies mobile phone addicts prefer to use to help them adapt to the current environment and what the effect of adjustment is,which is worthy of attention and research topic. Therefore, this study selected cognitive reappraisal and attention distraction as emotional regulation strategies to investigate the influence of mobile phone addiction tendency on the selection of emotional regulation strategies and the regulation effect. The regulation effect is scored from two aspects:arousal and titer of emotion. In the first study,a questionnaire was used. The smartphone Addiction Scale(SAS-SV),emotional regulation questionnaire and acceptance and action questionnaire were selected to measure the relevant situation of 166 students from a certain university. The smartphone Addiction Scale was used to measure mobile phone use,the emotional regulation questionnaire measured cognitive reappraisal and expressive inhibition tendencies, and the Acceptance and Action questionnaire measured empirical avoidance tendencies. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between mobile phone addiction and experiential avoidance,as well as between expression inhibition and experiential avoidance. In the second study, experimental methods were used to explore the preferences of emotion-regulating strategies of subjects with mobile phone addiction tendency and those without addiction,as well as the differences in the regulatory effects under different strategies.A total of 56 subjects were recruited in this study to study the emotional choice preference of the two groups of subjects by the number of cognitive reappraisal and attention distraction strategies.Arousal and titer scores were used to study the effects of emotion regulation in different groups. The results showed that subjects with a tendency of mobile phone addiction at low intensity and those without addiction tended to choose the cognitive reappraisal strategy;subjects with a tendency of addiction at high intensity were more willing to choose the attention distraction strategy;subjects without addiction showed no preference in strategy selection. Both at high intensity and low intensity, the subjects without addiction chose cognitive reappraisal strategy more than those with addiction tendency, and the subjects with addiction tendency chose attention distraction strategy more.In the aspect of effect study,it is found that there is no significant difference in the adjustment effect between the subjects with addiction tendency and those without addiction under different intensity of adjustment methods, and both can play a good adjustment effect. In the third study, experimental methods were used to study the effect of emotion-regulation strategies used by subjects with and without mobile phone addiction when they were assigned tasks,as well as the continuous effect of different regulation strategies when they encountered the same negative stimulus two weeks later.A total of 40 subjects were recruited for the study, and arousal and titer levels were used to investigate differences in the regulatory effects. This study showed that after fixing the emotion regulation strategy, the subjects with different degrees of addiction all showed good emotion regulation effect, but there was still no difference between the two groups. After two weeks,at the low intensity titer level,non-addicted subjects showed poor continuity in regulating effect of attention distraction strategy. In terms of the permanence of emotion regulation, attention dispersion shows a better adjustment effect at low intensity.Cognitive reappraisal showed a good moderating effect at high intensity. In summary, this paper found that subjects with mobile phone addiction tendency and those without addiction have different preferences for emotional regulation strategies under different intensity of negative stimuli, and there is no difference in the current regulation effect.Different regulatory strategies have different regulatory effects under different intensity of stimuli. The individuals with mobile phone addiction tendency and those without addiction also have differences in the adjustment of low intensity attention distraction strategy. |
