Research On Badashanren’s Semi-cursive Script Style And The Author’s Coping And Creative Practice

Badashanren was an artist of high attainments in the fields of poetry,calligraphy and painting in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties.Among the numerous existing calligraphy works of Badashanren,the number of Semi-cursive Script is the largest,so the calligraphy of Badashanren has become the most artistic value and the most representative style of his writing.In his later years,Badashanren combined the brushwork of the seal script with the technique of cursive script,so that his Semi-cursive script has both the gentle and mellow character of the seal script and the flexible and lively character of the Semi-cursive script,forming the " Badashanren’s characters" with distinct personalities.This paper discusses the Semi-cursive Script of Badashanren.First of all,this paper gives a brief introduction to the life experience of the Badashanren,and then,combined with a series of factors such as their special life experience,the experience of learning calligraphy,and the changes of their inner emotions,gives an overview of the Semi-cursive Script of Badashanren in different periods.The second part and the third part of this article mainly combined with the existing Semi-cursive Script of Badashanren,from the four aspects of the writing method,the word structure,the overall composition and the method of using ink,at the same time to make a classification of the style of Semi-cursive Script.The last part of the article focuses on the influence of Badashanren Semi-cursive Script on the later generations and the positive significance of the author’s path of learning calligraphy.
