Research On Hans Jonas's Technological Ethic

The development of modern technology has made human power stronger than anything that is already known.Technological developments have reached their limits in related fields,and our own campaigns have eventually turned us from our own drive to disaster.In the second half of the twentieth century,Hans Jonas proposed the ethics of responsibility,which once it was proposed,it caused a boom in philosophical circles,and people rethought the value of technology.Jonas gave the solution to the ethics of responsibility,and launched a philosophical critique of modern science and technology,through the in-depth perspective of the ethical problems of modern science and technology,he discovered the destructive threat to human health lurking behind technology.This article is based on Hans Jonas’ ethics of technology,and consists of five chapters.The first chapter deals with the dilemma and problem of the technological age,which has plunged humanity into anthropocentrism,proximity ethics,and technological utopia due to the negative impact of excessive development of technology on human life.The second chapter mainly analyzes the theoretical origin of Jonas’ responsibility ethics.Influenced by Aristotle’s formal material theory,Kant’s teleology and Heidegger’s philosophy of technology,it establishes the ontological foundation for Jonas’ responsibility ethics theory.The third chapter mainly solves the problem of why we should be responsible for the irrelevant future.Jonas establishes the standards of responsibility ethics from the perspectives of teleology and axiology,and proves that the whole nature is a teleology existence through the natural and man-made things.The fourth chapter expounds the theoretical system of technology ethics,seeks the solution of constructing modern technology ethics,and calls on people to take responsibility by reflecting on the relationship between technology and nature,technology and human in the age of science and technology.The fifth chapter reflects on the thought of technology ethics,proves the positive significance of technology ethics through the ethical enlightenment of technology era,and further points out the importance of responsibility ethics from the perspective of human and nature and society.Through in-depth research and interpretation of Jonas’ ethical responsibility thought,we find that his ethical technology thought has theoretical value and practical significance.Its guiding significance for social practice lies in enabling people to clearly see the harm and risks caused by the blind application of technological means,and to recognize the mission and obligations they need to fulfill.
