Research On Tang Zhen's Views On Wome

There is a saying in Yi Zhuan: One yin and one yang are called Tao.Gender relationship is the most primitive and basic social relationship of human beings,and it is also an important measure to measure the progress of human civilization.The so-called view of women generally refers to the cognition and value evaluation of women’s status in gender relations.In terms of gender relations and women’s cognition and evaluation,it is the mainstream view of China’s traditional ethics in women’s view that men and women are different,that men are superior to women,and that three obedience and four virtues are emphasized.However,Tang Zhen,who was in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,was unique and put forward a view of women with distinctive anti-traditional characteristics.This paper takes Tang Zhen’s Hidden Book as the main research text and Tang Zhen’s view on women as the research theme,combs the social background and ideological origin of Tang Zhen’s view on women,expounds the philosophical basis of Tang Zhen’s view on women,analyzes the main contents of Tang Zhen’s view on women,and analyzes and evaluates her view on women from a contemporary perspective.This paper consists of introduction and four chapters.This paper holds that Tang Zhen’s concept of women is not accidental,but has a realistic social foundation.Tang Zhen’s concept of women is an important part of the enlightenment thought during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,with a distinct critical value orientation.In terms of ideological origin,Tang Zhen’s view of women was influenced by Mencius’ thought,Yangming’s mind and Taoism.China’s traditional view of harmony between Yin and Yang and the theory of sentimentality of human nature are the philosophical basis of Tang Zhen’s view on women.Tang Zhen’s view of women includes Tang Zhen’s cognition and evaluation of women and their social relations.Tang Zhen refuted the so-called femme fatale theory,arguing that women are innocent,vindicating women and opposing wife abuse.In terms of the three kinds of social and ethical relations in which women live,Tang Zhen put forward the views that couples respect peace,parents respect each other and children are equal.Tang Zhen’s view of women has had an important influence in history and has been highly praised by modern scholars.Of course,due to historical and class limitations,Tang Zhen’s view on women is not equal to the real equality between men and women,but this is the ideological peak that people can reach about women and equality between men and women more than 400 years ago.Tang Zhen’s view of women is still of great enlightening significance for today’s people to build harmonious and equal gender relations,eliminate gender discrimination and oppose domestic violence.
