In the 1920 s,Li Jinhui adopted the creation mode and formal structure of European and American operas,and integrated the excellent elements of China’s traditional folk art forms with them to create children’s song and dance operas with the embryonic form of opera.So far,opera art has begun to flourish in China.Up to now,it has gone through more than 100 years.In this development process,the opera of each stage shows the artistic characteristics endowed by the times.In the 1950 s and1960s,a number of operas eulogizing the images of female heroes appeared,with the theme of reflecting the political history of revolutionary class struggle.Later,this kind of opera was called "red opera".This paper will focus on the red opera with the image of female heroes as the theme in Chinese opera,take the heroines in two cross era red operas as the main research object,and explore the similarities and differences of female images written by different dramatists and under different historical backgrounds by watching Opera plays and consulting relevant materials,so as to elucidate their impact and value on society.The full text is divided into six parts.The first chapter mainly expounds the purpose and significance of this topic,summarizes the basic situation of the current research on female characters in Chinese Red opera,lists the main research contents and research methods,and makes a conceptual analysis of the nouns involved in this article.The second chapter is based on the development of red opera and takes the image of female heroes as the research point to sort out the heroines in the development of Chinese Red opera.For the third chapter,the author believes that it is necessary to study why women become the focus of the opera stage,so as to explore how Chinese women change from being ignored to being valued.In the fourth chapter,the author will select two representative cross era red operas for in-depth exploration,namely Honghu Red Guard and Yimeng mountain.Summarize,summarize and compare the commonness and individuality of the two heroines "Han Ying" and "Haitang".The commonness is mainly reflected in their similar growth and living environment,similar revolutionary struggle process,and common revolutionary ideas and values.In the aspect of personality comparative analysis,the author mainly makes a comparative analysis from three aspects: the historical background of the characters,the age characteristics of the characters and the types of image temperament.The fifth chapter is the core of this paper.Music is the soul of opera,and the characteristics of characters should be shown by music.Therefore,the author will focus on the noumenon of music.Starting with the music elements adopted and used for reference by opera music,including the adoption and adaptation of folk music,the application of opera elements,the application of local cultural characteristics and originality,the author will deeply analyze the music style characteristics of the two operas,Then it compares and analyzes the emotional expression and singing technical requirements of the two characters’ main aria.It also expounds the influence of different times on the creation of the two red operas.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the social value and artistic value of the two red operas studied in this paper,expounds the current development status of Chinese opera,and puts forward some ideas and suggestions for its future development.
