This report is an English-Chinese translation practice report based on Creating Resilient Futures. The book,Creating Resilient Futures, mainly studies how to further improve the ability to deal with climate change and create resilient futures based on existing policies, combining data and models to the ―Sendai Framework‖,―Paris Agreement‖,and ―2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development‖.This text is a scientific and technological text, and the problem encountered in translation is the translation of passive sentences, long sentences and attributive clauses in the original text. The translator takes section 1 of this book as an example to apply some translation methods of scientific and technological texts, and focuses on solving the translation problems through case analysis. Before the translation, the translator reads the whole text and studied the parallel text;during the translation, for the passive sentence, the translator adopts the method of change of voice and subject addition;for attributive clauses, the translator uses the methods of preposition, postposition;for long sentences, the translator adopts the methods of division, reversing, and restructuring. The purpose of the translator is to promote the public‘s understanding of the impact of climate change and related scientific knowledge, and it is expected that more readers will pay attention to the issue of climate change. At the same time, the translator explores the translation methods of scientific and technological texts on climate change, with a view to providing a reference for the translation of other scientific and technological documents and opening up new research horizons for experts, scholars, and scientists at home and abroad.
