| China’s ageing phenomenon is deepening and growing rapidly,and actively addressing the issue of ageing in China is an inevitable trend for our future economic and social development.Hoarding is widespread among older people and there is growing concern about hoarding of goods.Excessive hoarding behavior not only affects the physical and mental health and quality of life of older people,but also poses a number of public health and safety problems.Therefore,it is of great interest to explore the causes of hoarding behavior.This study will take the attachment anxiety of the elderly as the starting point,add two variables of control and intolerance of uncertainty,and explore the mechanism of action between attachment anxiety and hoarding behavior and the differences of four variables in demographic variables,so as to improve the hoarding behavior of the elderly and promote the formation of healthy behavior habits of the elderly.The study used the Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory(ECR),Sense of Control Scale(SCS),Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale 12(IUS-12)and Saving Inventory-Revised(SI-R).We invited 810 elderly people to finish the questionnaire,kept 701 valid data.We used SPSS 26.0 to analyze the data.The result obtained is as follows:(1)The attachment anxiety,sense of control,intolerance of uncertainty and hoarding behavior of the elderly are significantly different in some demographic variables.(2)Attachment anxiety,sense of control,intolerance of uncertainty and hoarding behavior have significantly relationship.(3)Sense of control mediates the relationship between attachment anxiety and hoarding behavior.(4)Intolerance of uncertainty mediates the relationship between attachment anxiety and hoarding behavior.(5)Sense of control and intolerance of uncertainty act as a chain mediator between attachment anxiety and hoarding behavior.Conclusion: Attachment anxiety in elder positively predicts hoarding behavior.Sense of control and intolerance of uncertainty act as a chain mediator between attachment anxiety and hoarding behavior. |
