| Fiber art and contemporary art are inextricably linked,especially fiber art works that use traditional fiber materials such as "hemp,cloth,and paper" as the main media.The rich characteristics of the material itself and the infinite possibility of interlacing changes between its "longitude and latitude" together form the basis for the diversification of contemporary fiber art forms.In recent decades,fiber artists from China and Japan have been based on excellent traditional culture and have achieved outstanding results in international fiber art exhibitions.Japanese fiber art can well preserve its cultural heritage while absorbing new things from abroad,while Chinese fiber art has a long history.After combining innovation with foreign techniques,it has left a strong mark in the development of fiber art in the world.Chinese and Japanese fiber artists have injected a continuous stream of new ideas and thinking into their works,forming distinctive artistic styles.The research of my thesis closely centers on the background of the rapid rise of contemporary fiber art in China and Japan,as well as the unique artistic styles they share.It focuses on various aspects of the development of contemporary fiber art and case studies of contemporary fiber artists in both countries,starting from the diversified forms and contents of fiber art language,and integrating them into the macro context of the development history of international fiber art,Deeply explore the spiritual connotation of fiber art in the public environment due to its materials and craftsmanship.First of all,the first and second chapters define the sino-japanese fiber art and its related concepts,clarify the historical context and status quo of fiber art,and analyze the relationship between fiber art and contemporary art one by one,the third and fourth chapters,respectively from China and Japan contemporary fiber art material characteristics and applications,process and development,through the comparison of artists and art exhibitions of the two countries,to perceive the transformation of Chinese and Japanese contemporary fiber art under the background of contemporary art history,and to focus on how the fiber works in the hands of artists from the two countries move from a single to a pluralistic,in order to further explore the cultural and artistic value of fiber art from a public perspective,and then go to Chapter 5,carding the impact of fiber materials,technology forms of expression,combining with the typical cases of fiber art,the paper finds out the characteristics of contemporary fiber art in China and Japan,and reveals the new characteristics of the time in the works from the aspects of synthesis,humanism and innovation.Therefore,the sixth chapter summarizes and expounds the positive influence of sino-japanese fiber art on our country’s fiber art creation,as well as both sides in the fiber art exchange gradually from the traditional to the modern historical significance and future development.This article attempts to explore the development and manifestation of contemporary fiber art in China and Japan,with the contemporary process of fiber technology and materials as the research core,and the diversified development of fiber art from plane to space,from static to dynamic,from decoration to performance,and from practical to experimental as the axis,to explore its linguistic diversity and multiple perspectives,advocating the intrinsic value contained in handicraft culture,While exploring the expressive forms and academic value of fiber art,we hope to add a new touch to the research field of contemporary fiber art in Japan,which is rarely touched upon,and that our research can bring beneficial theoretical assistance to the creators of fiber art in China. |
