ObjectiveIn the Qing Dynasty, traumatological department of TCM developed vigorously and a large number of traumatology monographs emerged, most of which were written by the Shaolin Traumatology School. The diagnosis and treatment methods of Shaolin Traumatology School still have certain reference value for modern traumatology clinic.By systematically sorting out and researching the existing Qing Dynasty literature and materials of the Shaolin Traumatology School, combing and summarizing the prescription characteristics and academic thoughts of the Shaolin Traumatology School,in order to provide a reference for clinical practice.MethodThis research uses literature, historiography and other research methods to retrieve and collect the Qing Dynasty literature of Shaolin Traumatology School, and systematically classify the data through literature study. With the help of statistical methods and literature study,it analyzes the prescriptions of Shaolin Traumatology School in Qing Dynasty, summarizes the characteristics of prescriptions of the school, and compares Xueji School and Shaolin Traumatology School. Finally, the academic thoughts of Shaolin Traumatology School are summarized through literature research and analysis.ContentThe first part sorts out the origins of Shaolin Traumatology School, and analyzes the factors that influence the formation and development of Shaolin Traumatology School. The formation of Shaolin Traumatology can be traced back to the birth of Shaolin Temple, and Shaolin Traumatology was derived from Shaolin Wushu.Later, with the development of Shaolin Temple and Wushu,as well as the influence of social environment, historical conditions and other factors,Shaolin Traumatology gradually formed a school. The factors affecting the development of Shaolin Traumatology School in Qing Dynasty included social and environmental factors,as well as the development of martial arts, forensic medicine, pharmacology and other medicines.Jiang Kaoqing and Zhao Tinghai were the main representatives of the Shaolin Traumatology School in the Qing Dynasty. The second part analyzes the prescriptions of Shaolin Traumatology School in Qing Dynasty.A total of 1688 prescriptions were collected, including 1338 internal prescriptions and 350 external prescriptions. The commonly used drugs in the internal prescriptions include Angelica Sinensis,Carthamus Tinctorius,Olibanum,Myrrh,Rehmannia Glutinosa,Ligusticum Chuanxiong,Semen Persicae,Radix Paeoniae Rubra,Aucklandia Lappa, etc. And commonly used drugs in the external prescriptions include Olibanum,Myrrh,Resina Draconis,Radix Angelicae Dahuricae,Angelica Sinensis,Rheum Officinale.Carthamus Tinctorius,Moschus,Os Draconis,Borneolum Syntheticum, etc.Among them,Angelica Sinensis,Carthamus Tinctorius,Olibanum and Myrrh are frequently used in the internal and external prescriptions, and these drugs are worthy of high attention in the clinical use of traumatology. The common drug pairs of internal prescriptions were Olibanum-Myrrh,Carthamus Tinctorius-Angelica Sinensis,Semen Persicae-Carthamus Tinctorius,Cinnamomum Cassia-Angelica Sinensis,Lignum Sappan-Carthamus Tinctorius, etc. The common drug pairs of external prescriptions were Olibanum-Myrrh,Resina Draconis-Olibanum,Resina Draconis-Myrrh.Through statistical analysis,it is found that Shaolin Traumatology School uses pungent and warm medicines, and most of the medicines enter the liver meridian.Under the guidance of the overall concept, the Shaolin Traumatology School has the principles of syndrome differentiation and treatment according to acupoints, parts, time, and main prescriptions. The Xueji School uses medicines that are sweet and warm, and pays attention to the eight principles syndrome differentiation and treatment thinking,as well as the application of spleen and stomach thinking in traumatic treatment. The drug treatment method of the Shaolin Traumatology School is more simple and practical, while the Xueji School syndrome differentiation of eight principles method is more systematic. The third part explores the thought of the Shaolin Traumatology School. The Shaolin Traumatology School attaches great importance to the temporal rhythm of qi and blood in the twelve meridians. It not only pays attention to the operation of qi and blood in the whole body from the perspective of the overall concept, but also pays attention to the local injured acupoints and the time of qi and blood infusion, forming the theory of meridian flow in traumatology. It is emphasized that when diagnosing an injury, one should not only know the part but not the whole, and should take the pulse and symptoms together and make an overall diagnosis. It is good at identifying injuries and judging prognosis by inspection. It often uses methods such as looking at the eyes, fingernails, and complexion to test injuries; It can predict good and bad prognosis by identifying terminal diseases of viscera and acupoints.Emphasis is placed on the treatment principles of manipulation and restoration, immobilization, internal and external medication, and functional exercise. In addition, most of the doctors of the Shaolin Traumatology School are martial artists, which have the characteristics of combining martial arts and medicine.ConclusionThe formation of Shaolin Traumatology School is the result of the combined action of many factors. In clinical medicine,it is more pungent and warm, often using medicines for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and attaching importance to the use of medicines that induce menstruation.Under the guidance of the overall concept, the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment according to acupoints, parts, time, and principal prescriptions has been formed, and the drug treatment method tends to be simple and practical.Fracture treatment advocates restoration, fixation, internal and external medication, functional exercise principles.Attention should be paid to the time rhythm of qi and blood in twelve meridians, and the application of the theory of midnight-noon ebb-flow in traumatology in diagnosis and medication is worthy of further study. In addition,it also has certain clinical value to explore the application of ’ combination of martial arts and medicine ’ in traumatology. |
