| Gao Peizhi(1881-1960),a native of Weinan city,Shaanxi Province,lived through the late Qing Dynasty,the Republic of China and the New China in his lifetime.Among his many roles,he is best known as the president of Yisu Society for four times and the founding father of the president of the Founding father of Yisu Society.He also created 54 opera scripts and became an important leader in the development of Shaanxi Qinqiang Opera art.With the help of primary materials obtained from visiting Gao Peizhi’s hometown and two electronic literature databases of "National Newspaper Index" and Duxiu,this paper collects,sorts and summarizes the original materials,hopes to make a systematic study of Gao Peizhi’s drama activities in Yisu Society.Gao Peizhi devoted himself to education and teaching work all his life.He served as a representative of the Pronunciation Unification Association of the Ministry of Education,and then served as the leader of shaanxi Model tour,and then became the director of public model popular education speeches in Shaanxi Province,and also served as the librarian of Shaanxi Province.In order to practice the cultural reform movement,he gradually transferred his work center from the outside world to Yisu Society.In addition,as the president of the Founding father of Yisu Society,he made friends with artists,fans and people who love drama.During his stay in the Society,Gao Peizhi wrote 54 plays,including 25 of the whole opera and 29 of his excerpts.The main creation of social drama,historical drama,family drama,educational drama four themes.Unfortunately,most of them have been lost.At present,there are still existing 24 scripts,only "Plunder the fair pavilion" a rehearsal up to now.His content of the script is to criticize the current situation,to satirize the present,to "play" to educate people,plot Settings are diverse,shaping a series of distinctive character of the character image.In terms of language,the characters in the script have their own personalized language and different personalities,and their personalities are fully displayed through detailed local words.He advocated the idea of opera reform and embodied it in the play creation,which was of enlightenment significance.In terms of internal management,Gao Peizhi,adhering to the reform efforts and sense of mission of the cultural reform movement in northwest China,assembled excellent creative staff and carried out unified and orderly institutionalized management of the Founding father of Yisu Society.Especially in the setting of organizational structure,management and teaching mode,and living system,it also plays a leading role in the daily organization,management and operation of art societies to a large extent.On the whole,Gao Peizhi’s way of opera creation and management has a profound reference significance for the further development of shaanxi opera art. |
