Drama script "Blossoms" is adapted from novel of "Blossoms" written by Jin Yucheng,which mainly describes the sorrows and joys of partings and meetings of Abao,Husheng and Xiaomao three people liven in Shanghai in thirty years.Abao with capitalism family background,Husheng with army cadres' family background and Xiaomao with worker family background are good friends,and their own sufferings made them separate with each other in 1960s and 1970s.In 1990s,both businessman of foreign trade Abao and lawyer Husheng chosen escaping from emotional life,when the environment forced them to face their own emotional directly,they attained news of Xiaomao who has separated with them for twenty years.This paper summarizes the creation process of drama script "Blossoms" and analyzes the inheritance and adaptation of drama script "Blossoms" to novel.The script strips the branches of novel,extracts meridian and tries to retain the characteristics of original works at the same time,makes it in consistent with regularity of stage performance.No matter city,citizen or history,blossoms are flowers bloom and fall sometimes.In China,there are a lot of works writing about city and history,while most of them are standing on the height of history and stressing the restriction of times to people or suffering in times.While novel"Blossom" stands at a lower position and describes the presented exuberant vitality under the restriction of times unconsciously.Script extends the narrative angle of novel and presents the nothingness and indulgence in the process of self-treatment after burnt from politics and capital.At the same time,taking the special characteristics of drama as well as the self-expression of screenwriter,it makes certain adaptation to part of the plots in the novel.The world is unpredictable,in the pathological age,as the unconscious constitutor of pathological age,individuals did not change history,but they expressing love and sorrows in personal change.While it is just this individual that formed the sight of city and age.
