A Study On The Common Proverbs In The Zhangxie Zhuangyuan In Nanxi

The use of a large number of commonly used proverbs in Nanxi’s Zhangxie zhuangyuan has become a major feature of its language.The study of common proverbs involves the language characteristics of early southern opera and how to generate it,which needs systematic and in-depth research.Common proverbs have the same meaning as common proverbs,idioms and warnings.They refer to sentences that have been widely quoted in Nanxi’s Zhangxie’s champion and used in many works and daily expressions.They are fixed in form,easy to understand,widely spread,and have the nature of common use,knowledge,humanity and so on.The research on the quotation of common proverbs in Zhangxiezhuangyuan will help to have a further understanding of the creation of the play,and also contribute to the in-depth study of the language characteristics and generation of early southern opera.Firstly,it clarifies the number,characteristics,expression content and main functions of commonly used proverbs quoted in Zhangxie zhuangyuan,and makes textual research and supplementary interpretation of some commonly used proverbs.Secondly,the quotation of common proverbs in the play is mainly affected by the art of speaking,the communication between Buddhist Zen language and folk language,and the "utilitarian" view of reading under the imperial examination system.Thirdly,from the perspective of the use of common proverbs,"Zhangxie zhuangyuan" shows the "theater" with performance as the core,shows a rough sense of role and business segmentation,and shows that the play has a certain inheritance of the "excellent advice" tradition of excellent drama,which is the transformation from the advice of the ruling class to the advice of the masses.Thirdly,taking the characteristics of the way of language formation,aesthetic function and on-the-spot function of the commonly used proverbs in the play as the starting point,we can see that the early southern opera has the language style of "appreciating both refined and popular tastes",the language characteristics of "heavy field" and the language generation mode of "eclectic".Finally,some scholars take the commonly used proverb as the dating method of Zhangxie’s champion,which has some omissions.The study found that the commonly used proverbs can provide a certain reference for the dating of the play,but they can not become a decisive basis.The quotation of common proverbs in Zhangxie zhuangyuan reflects the influence of speech art,religious thought,imperial examination system and other factors on the creation of the play.At the same time,from the common proverbs,we can make a deeper interpretation of the creative characteristics of the play and grasp the generation mechanism of the play text more comprehensively.Moreover,common proverbs are an important part of opera language.The study of their participation in opera will help deepen the study of the language characteristics of early southern opera and reveal the generation of early southern opera language;At the same time,it provides a new reference for the dating of the number one scholar of Zhangxie.This study is based on the achievements of the predecessors in the academic circles,with a view to adding bricks and tiles to the research of Zhangxie’s champion and even southern opera.
