| From 1959 to 1964,the three provinces of Liaoning,Jilin and Heilongjiang jointly held three consecutive art exhibitions of the three northeastern provinces.They are by far the only three art exhibitions whose main subject is the northeastern provinces.These comprehensive art exhibitions have important historical significance and academic value in the history of Northeast art development.Taking the opportunity of the three art exhibitions of the three northeastern provinces,artists based on the region to create local art schools with distinctive styles,such as the Great Northern Wilderness Printmaking and the Guandong School of Painting,which have been widely spread across the country.As a result,a large number of outstanding artists and classics have emerged,and the artworks have promoted the development of the Northeast regional art style after many years of brewing.The 3rd Northeast Three Provinces Art Exhibition held in 1964 is of great significance among the three exhibitions.It is a landmark event of the whole process of the beginning,development and maturity of art creation in Northeast China after the founding of New China.Through this exhibition,the well-developed art schools and systems in Northeast China had spread out of the region,and under the promotion of the fourth National Art Exhibition,they will radiate across the country,so that the Northeast region’s art style will be further recognized and established at the national level,and at the same time,it will greatly elevate the influence of art creation in Northeast China in the whole country.This paper takes the three Northeast Three Provinces Art Exhibitions as clues and focuses on the third art exhibition.Utilizing the exhibition as a carrier,the paper sorts out the formation path of the art style in the Northeast region and analyzes the three exhibitions showcasing art styles in the region.This paper also evaluated the formation process of the art in the northeast region through epochal,regional,and ethnic characteristics,and explore the role and influence of the art exhibitions on the construction of regional art styles. |
