Embodied Metaphor Of The Core Values Of Chinese Socialism Concepts

Conceptual metaphor refers to the process of clarifying unfamiliar and abstract new concepts with the help of specific concepts that have been understood and familiar in the past.Previous studies on conceptual metaphor mostly focused on the concept of morality and the concept of rights,and there was little research on the concept of values.Under the environment of vigorously advocating the practice of socialist core values since the 18 th National Congress,this study attempts to explore its metaphorical consistency effect with the concept of socialist core values from the three dimensions of red and black color,upright and skew font font and upper and lower position.Using the traditional Stroop experiment paradigm,this study takes 12 words of double-character socialist core values and 12 negative values words as the target materials.Students from a university in Harbin are taken as the subjects,and the reaction time of the subjects’ judgment of values is taken as the experimental index.The metaphorical representation of value concept was examined in a 2*2 experiment designed from three dimensions: red and black color,positive and oblique font and upper and lower position.The results showed that :(1)the results of experiment 1,2 and 3 showed that the response time of the subjects to the judgment of negative value words was significantly longer than the response time to the judgment of positive value words.(2)the experiment 1 shows values type and vocabulary of red and black colors present a significant interaction term,participants can be gained by analyzing response to the red words of socialist core values faster than black words of socialist core values,reaction to black negative values vocabulary words faster than red negative values.(3)the experiment 2shows the types of values and vocabulary presented is the interaction of inclined font presents the significance,the analysis get the subjects to traditional socialist core values of vocabulary reaction rate faster than the italicized words of socialist core values,the response to the traditional negative values vocabulary words faster than traditional negative values.Experimental 3.(4)types of values and vocabulary of present a significant interaction of upper and lower position,get the subjects to response of present socialist core values words above the words faster than the present socialist core values,reactions to negative values below words faster than negative values above the words.According to the above research results,it is concluded that:(1)Individuals have attention bias towards negative values.(2)There is a significant metaphorical consistency between the concept of values and the color of red and black,red is consistent with the concept of socialist core values,and black is consistent with the concept of negative values.(3)There is a significant metaphorical consistency between the values concept and the positive and oblique font,the positive and the socialist core values concept,and the italic and the negative values concept.(4)There is a significant metaphorical consistency between the concept of values and the upper and lower positions,the upper position is consistent with the concept of socialist core values,and the lower position is consistent with the concept of negative values.
