| During the northern and Southern Dynasties,Buddhism developed in an all-round way after it entered China,and reached its peak in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.Most of the rulers of the Tang Dynasty changed their traditional Taoist beliefs and strongly advocated Buddhism,forming the imperial power of the integration of politics and religion.In the Tang Dynasty,the royal families and clans greatly promoted Buddhist temples,opened cave statues,and even infiltrated obvious Buddhist cultural elements into the stone carvings of the imperial mausoleum,which have the most traditional Chinese cultural thoughts.The Shinto stone pillars of the imperial mausoleum of the Tang Dynasty are the most typical representatives.The style of the stone pillars of the Tang mausoleum has changed from the style influenced by the Greek style since the Han and Wei dynasties,and adopted the style of Mani pearl columns with a strong Indian Buddhist architectural style,It is enough to witness the important influence of Indian Buddhist cultural elements on the plastic arts of Chinese traditional mausoleum stone carvings.This This research takes the collection and drawing of the basic modeling forms of the Tang Dynasty imperial tombs’ stone columns in Guanzhong area of Shaanxi Province as the starting point,through the methods of field investigation,literature collation,data analysis,image comparison and equivalence,and adopts the way of illustration and text to make an in-depth comparative study on the origin,development,evolution and artistic style characteristics of different times of the Chinese mausoleum Shinto stone column modeling,and analyzes the size and material of the stone columns from the perspective of sculpture research.This paper focuses on the Buddhist element graphics extracted from the stone pillars of the sacred way in the Tang mausoleum,such as lotus,vine pattern,Mani pearl,Miaoyin bird,etc.On the basis of sorting out the origin of the mausoleum stone columns and their development and evolution,this paper discusses the relationship between the sacred stone columns in the imperial mausoleum of the Tang Dynasty and Buddhist elements,their modeling sources,and their artistic styles.It is concluded that the influence of Buddhist culture under the historical development background of the Tang Dynasty is reflected in the sacred stone columns,which have both cultural and aesthetic connotations,and show the interaction between Chinese traditional art and Buddhism,The Chinese traditional art,which is developed from the traditional local form of Shinto stone pillars and integrates Buddhist elements to reflect the multifaceted development,is also in line with the development of Chinese traditional art in the long time. |
