Lingnan Writing In Tang Dynasty Literature

Lingnan in the Tang Dynasty covers the vast area south of the five ridges,that is,the present Guangdong and Guangxi,the whole territory of Hainan and the northern part of Vietnam.Since the Qin Dynasty,Lingnan has been included in the administrative region of the Central Plains Dynasty.With more and more exchanges between Lingnan and the Central Plains,Lingnan’s unique geographical environment,climatic conditions and local customs have also begun to enter people’s vision,attracted the attention of scholars,and gradually formed various forms of Lingnan writing.After entering the Tang Dynasty,Lingnan was further developed,and the description of Lingnan’s natural geographical environment,climatic conditions and social customs began to appear in the literary works of the Tang Dynasty.This article aims to study the Lingnan writing in Tang Dynasty literature,explore the content and characteristics of Lingnan writing in different literary genres,and examine the perspective of Tang Dynasty literati in discovering or understanding Lingnan,so as to more fully understand the Impression of Lingnan of the Tang Dynasty and restore a real Lingnan of the Tang Dynasty.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly discusses the writing of Lingnan in Tang poetry.The writing of Lingnan in Tang poetry not only shows the bad natural and cultural conditions of Lingnan,but also describes the beauty of Lingnan landscape.The bad natural and cultural conditions of Lingnan in Tang poetry are mainly reflected by the evil natural conditions and customs of Lingnan,while the beauty of Lingnan is mainly shown by the beauty of Lingnan landscape.At the same time,the reason why the writing of Lingnan in Tang poetry is characterized by the coexistence of bad conditions and beautiful descriptions of Lingnan is mainly related to the conflict between the Central Plains culture and Lingnan culture.The second chapter mainly discusses the Lingnan writing in the prose of the Tang Dynasty.The Lingnan writing in the prose of the Tang Dynasty embodies the humanistic concept of the people’s cell and thing,the unity of heaven and man,and cultural education in the Tang Dynasty,which is full of humanistic spirit.In addition,from the writing of Lingnan in Tang prose,we can also see that Tang people had a great cultural influence on Lingnan.The third chapter mainly discusses the Lingnan writing in Tang people’s note novels.Among them,although the Lingnan writing in the notes of the Tang Dynasty continues the tradition of foreign body writing of the previous generation,it also has its own characteristics in description.From the Lingnan writing in the notes of the Tang Dynasty,we can see that the understanding of Lingnan in the Tang Dynasty is deepening compared with the previous generation.The reason why the Tang people’s understanding of Lingnan was deepened was related to the development and development of Lingnan by many literati who went south to Lingnan at that time and the Tang Rulers.
