| Since Emperor Wu set the Confucian classics as an official school,the Confucian group has gradually developed and expanded.Since the Eastern Han Dynasty,Confucian scholars have become elite class.Their rising and falling has affected literary creation.By combing and counting the distribution of main Confucian scholars in the Eastern Han Dynasty,this paper discusses the relationship between the evolution of Confucian scholars and literary themes in three chapters:The first chapter,under the unified regime in the early Eastern Han Dynasty,Confucian scholars attached to the imperial power,actively participated in politics,and their attitude was characterized by humility and obedience.During this period,most of the poetry,Fu,ode and inscriptions were written with the theme of praising,mainly in eulogizing the monarchs,princes and generals,and the praise of people to the Confucian scholars.The second chapter,under the background of the alternation of relatives of the emperor’s wife and eunuchs in the middle of the Eastern Han Dynasty,most of the Confucians took it as their duty to mend the national government and dared to fight generously with the forces of the emperor’s wife and eunuchs.During this period,their memorials,Fu and admonitions focused on criticizing relatives of the emperor’s wife and eunuchs,pointing out political disadvantages and persuading emperors and officials.The third chapter,under the joint attack of relatives of the emperor’s wife,eunuchs and monarchs in the late Eastern Han Dynasty,the Confucian scholars was hit hard and in a very difficult situation.The "awakening" and "retreat" became the main spiritual dimensions of Confucian scholars.During this period,Fu,poetry,ballads and proverbs showed the pattern of three themes: satirizing the dark society,revealing the self-adaptive mentality of far disaster and expressing their inner feelings. |
