A Research On Huidong Dialect

In this paper,the phonological system of Huidong dialect of Liangshan Prefecture is depicted and a partition map of Huidong dialect is derived through field investigation.It also depicts and comparatively analyzes the phonology of Huidong dialects at the synchronic and diachronic.In addition,the lexical and semantic categories of Huidong dialect are discussed in this paper.The thesis is divided into four parts.Introduction.This part mainly describes the basic overview of Huidong County and the current status of research on Huidong dialect.It also briefly introduces the purpose of this paper,the research method,as well as the sources of the corpus and the description of the style and other related information.Chapter 1 is the study of the phonology of Huidong dialect.In this chapter,the three systems of vowel,rhyme,and tone are depicted,and the distribution of their special phenomena is investigated in a simple partition.Furthermore,this paper compares the vowels,rimes,and tones of Huidong dialect with Middle Chinese and Mandarin respectively,and derives the characteristics of the vowel system,rime system,and tone system of Huidong dialect.In addition,this section also draws a list of the vowel-rhyme agreement of Huidong dialect.Finally,based on the study of Huidong dialects in the previous section,a zoning map of Huidong dialects is derived,which divides Huidong dialects into four zones: Jiangzhou and Tieliu zones(except Xiaoba),Jinsha River valley,Jacks River valley zone,and Daqiao River valley.Chapters 3 and 4 are the study of the grammar of the Huidong dialect.The grammatical part is divided into two main parts:the stressed category and the questioned category of the Huidong dialect.In the third chapter,the construction of the stressed category,the criteria for judging the stressed category are specified as different from the norm,accentuation,and intensification.According to the criteria,the categories of stress are divided into four categories,namely,frame-convex stress category,sequence-convex stress category,full-weight intensified stress category,and sequence-enhanced stress category,and the specific manifestations of the four categories are analyzed as to why they are stress categories,how to achieve stress,and what to stress.Finally,it is summarized that the emphasis categories of Huidong dialectal are semantically characterized by more prominence in terms of the sequence prominence and more intensification in terms of the tone intensification.Chapter 4describes the questioning category system of Huidong dialect,mainly including the questioning mode and the categories of questioning sentences.It also analyzes the"给(是)+VP"in the interrogative clause"给(是)+VP"in Huidong dialect,and examines the syntactic functions of the syntactic variants,the group of interrogative sentences and the syntactic functions.We also studied the syntactic functions of the sentence variants,the group of questions and the syntax.In addition,the semantics of the interrogative"给是+VP"and the emphasis in the repeated question are investigated.Finally,by comparing with the Southwest official dialect of Chengdu-Chongqing,the core members of the Huidong dialect questioning category are different,the syntactic questioning style is more common,the combination of questioning clusters is diverse,and there is a commonality with the stress category.Conclusion is a summary of the whole paper.In this paper,the phonology,vocabulary,and grammar of Huidong dialect are studied and analyzed through fieldwork,descriptions,and comparisons.In terms of phonology,the differences between the phonology and the phonology of Middle Chinese and Mandarin are summarized,as well as the phonological collocation table;in terms of vocabulary,the differences between the phonology and the phonology of Mandarin are summarized,and the word formation rationale is analyzed,and the non-characteristic words in Huidong are included and interpreted;in terms of grammar,the emphasis and question categories in Huidong are constructed.
