College entrance examination is one of the main means to select talents in the field of education in China.It has been widely concerned by the country and even the whole society for many years.College entrance examination plays a great role in learners’ learning process.Therefore,the role of college entrance examination in learners’ learning process has triggered the reflection of educational researchers and practitioners on the backwash effect of college entrance examination.Therefore,after investigating the current high school learners’ views and attitudes towards the college entrance examination English listening test,this study analyzes in detail the positive or negative impact of the college entrance examination English listening test on the learning of listening skills.Therefore,this paper will investigate the backwash effect of national college entrance examination English volume(II)from 2016 to2020 on senior high school English listening learning,so as to provide effective learning suggestions for senior high school English learners.This study selected 150 students and 30 teachers from three senior middle schools in Changchun as the survey objects,and collected research data through questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation.Research activities mainly investigate: can the college entrance examination English listening test have a backwash effect on Senior High School Learners’ listening learning? What are the specific aspects? How can the negative backwash effect be solved? Firstly,the author combines the knowledge and experience on the backwash effect of testing in literature and books,which lays a solid theoretical foundation for this study;Secondly,the author designs a questionnaire and an interview outline to collect research data to investigate the views and suggestions of senior high school teachers and students on listening learning after understanding the college entrance examination English listening test,and analyze it from the aspects of listening learning attitude,learning objectives,language knowledge and learning strategies;Finally,I selected 10 teachers’ listening classes for classroom observation,went deep into the real high school English listening classroom,and observed the real situation of teaching and learning in the real classroom.The results show that learners believe that the college entrance examination English listening test has an extremely profound impact on listening learning.Firstly,the college entrance examination English listening test has a positive backwash effect on learners’ listening learning attitude,language knowledge,learning strategies and cross-cultural awareness,which significantly improves learners’ listening skills;Secondly,the college entrance examination English listening test has a positive backwash effect on learners’ learning goals.Learners believe that the college entrance examination English listening test enables them to find out a learning mode suitable for their own listening skill development in the actual listening learning process.However,learners believe that it is inappropriate to take the college entrance examination English listening test as the ultimate goal of listening learning.It can be seen that the college entrance examination English listening test plays a due role in learners’ listening learning process,and has an obvious backwash effect on learners’ learning and improvement of language knowledge and skills.In short,the training goal of English subject is to improve learners’ comprehensive language use ability.This research activity expands the research scope of the backwash effect of college entrance examination English listening test on senior high school English listening learning to a certain extent,and aims to provide theoretical and practical listening learning suggestions for senior high school learners.There are some deficiencies in this research activity.I hope readers can criticize and correct this research activity.
