On The National Character Of Writing In Li Peifu’s Novels

Li Peifu,a writer from Henan province,has been devoted to the natural and cultural landscape of Yuzhong Plain for many years,paying close attention to the vast masses of people living on this land,depicting their life forms of life,age,illness and death,sweet,sour,bitter and happy.His brushwork is not only merciless criticism and whipping,but also deeply sentimentality and praise,which is due to the complex national character of the people of the Central Plains formed by the comprehensive influence of various factors,including the bad habits that should be criticized and the good character that should be praised.Li Peifu looked at the deep cause of the formation of national character dialectically,expressed the life and spiritual state of the people in the central Plains in the process of modernization,and sought a way of redemption.This paper takes "Plain Trilogy" as an example to study Li Peifu’s national character writing.The paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter explores Li Peifu national character in the novel writing origin,mainly from the influence of Chinese modern and contemporary national character in the novel writing and Li Peifu personal factor two aspects,also from the concept of national character and its effect in the development of Chinese modern and contemporary literature and comb,and from the writer geographical environment,era background and personal experience.The second chapter mainly analyzes the national characteristics of Li Peifu’s "Plain Trilogy" from the text,distinguishes Li peifu’s attitude of criticism or praise,and reveals his profound insight and historical vision.The three chapter studies the methods and characteristics of Li Peifu’s national character writing.Mainly from the animal and plant image,the contrast of the character image and the central Plains regional color three levels.The fourth chapter discusses the significance of Li Peifu’s "Plain Trilogy" of Chinese folk character writing.First,it analyzes Li Peifu’s inheritance of Lu Xun’s criticism of national character and the connotation of his writing of national character in the new era.Secondly,it sums up the various rural figures created by Li Peifu and analyzes the rich significance of these rural figures in the history of contemporary literature.Finally,it analyzes the rational and critical spirit in Li Peifu’s writing of national character,and his worries and reflections on the problems faced by villages and people in the central Plains in the process of modernization.
