| Mencius’ description of human nature encompasses all of the behavioral qualities that classify human beings.This is through a description of how people have being carrying out activities such as rituals since the beginning of time,as well as the emotional factors that have played a role in the performance of those rituals.When it comes to human nature,it is a collection of human behavior from all over the universe that has been thoroughly investigated by various researchers and philosophers in order to arrive at a conclusion.For this research,Mencius describes the nature of human being as good,and accompanies his reasearch with various teachings to a certain end.The research have moved back to the background of Mencius,to look at the nature of life and see what kinds of actions he supported and expected from his fellow human beings.Therefore,we see his as a universal teacher,who teaches very important aspects of life as well as what is expected of our hearts today,unless the external bad aspects works aginst the innate nature of the human race.His life was associated with challenges for example being raised by a single mother,would seem to be a challenge to those people that have both parents even in the current world.Within his lifetime,he tried to make various collections to the society out of the mistakes he noticed,because the ancient society seems to face similar problems as the society today.There were problems associated with governance and poverty to the people,and his effort through the education he had tries to keep the society at the course of human nature.This is to ensure that all humans are paractising their innate goodness towards their fellow human beings.It is found that the ancient society was exposed to certain challenges such as bad governance and other kinds of exploitation.This actions raised his eyebrows,because the actions are contrary to the expectations.This situation made him to decide to move from one city to the other in spread of his teachings after noticing that the society had nodes that needed to be untied to make things straight.But surprisingly,out of all the efforts and his teaching,the society is still doung the wrong things to each other due to the challenges of life.Mencius devises many teachings to be passed on to the next generation,leaving other people to draw their own conclusions about the nature of mankind,even while he maintains his philosophical viewpoints on the subject.The investigation is attempting to trace the origins of human nature and the values that are associated with it.In addition,the investigation attempts to determine the function of our senses and the heart in relation to our human nature.The virtues we possess have an impact on how we interact with one another as well as focusing at the governance on how leadership is carried out by the governing bodies,as demonstrated in the thesis that follows.There are several teachings of Mencius that are mainly focusing on the quality of leadership and all what makes the figure of our current society,and between continents.His philosophical teachings that are supposed to be showed by our governments should always reflects goodness in them and better expressions of the teachings about the human nature.His teachings are connected to Heaven,described as a high ranking power,which is deeply connected to good virtues,and acts in favor of the governance which has the good virtues,where the activities of heaven can easily show the society whether it is pleased by the type of governance in existence or otherwise.In spite of his attempts to support his philosophy in the face of philosophical opponents,Mencius has brought lessons that are parabolic in order to empower humanity to make decisions on their own,through self development.He boldly attempts to illustrate the goodness of human beings by employing parables like as the story of the ox mountain,which he places alongside his teachings,to elucidate his points.He has come to bring the effects of the environment and what sorrounds our lives,either good or bad that defines our characteristics even if we are born with goodness.Another parabolic teaching is about the well and the kid case.This is just to support his philosophy about the nature of the human being.When one mentions a kid and a well as the same time,we can instinglt realize some danger to a human being,therefore,it is the nature of human being to offer protection to tht kind of danger to a child.These teachings were taught a long time a go by Mencius,and it still apply to the human race till today.There is a lot of truth that even if it does not apply to a well,the world would own more dangwer than just wells for the huamans.This keeps the human race at ease to offer proection to each other in one way or another even if we do not know each other by names because the current world is a global society.The human being would only exposs their fellow human beings to danger due to the effects of their external environment which would be stronger than the innate nature of beings.There are traditional concepts that are brought along by this research to look at how this philosophy of Mencius is connected to the traditional concept of human nature.There must be a common variable that shows that nature of human being as good from the traditional times to the current life.This consist of the four cardinals of the heart and the right ways to use them in reflection to the nature of human being.They consists of benevolence,propriety,wisdom as well as righteousness.When this four cardinals work in line with each other,the nature of human being is perfectly represented to be good.This is a result of kindness that the humans put in practices towards their fellow humans,the practices of obedience regardless the age.Talking of obedience,it means that people are simply instructed and follows the law put in palce.Children as expected to obey their parents and the elders who corrects their actions in the society.The teachings about Mencius are supposed to be excercised from the socity’s smallest unit,which is the family.At the family units,children can learn more about their societal structures and be taught about the four cardinal,from what they mean and how they can be exercised.The nature of human race is associared with other activities which if the four cardinals are fully learnt,the reflections of humility,co-operation,actions of charity will be as well represented.This study has gone above and beyond by considering the current state of the world and the activities linked with it in regard to the character of human beings.An entire section is dedicated to discussing the contemplative significance of Mencius’ notion of human nature.This involves the description of how this research understand the teachings,and how the teachings are expected to be practiced.For example,the world has grown to be a global community,and there is a way human being exercise their goodness despite the challenges of living.The activities of global sports have a goal to bring people together despite their different races,not exactly to define the race of the next person,but to appreciate one another under the drive of the nature of humans.Other goals are to improving understanding in the society,and eliminate fear that is associated by human insecurities.Human beings are expected to gain confidence to one another as described by the research due to the common aspect of goodness.There is a goal to excersice the innate nature of goodness for the human being in the midst of the external negative energy that ruins the goodness of people,therefore,there is a need to overcome the weaknesses in various ways to call the world a better place.However,there is much more efforts needed to bring the society to the line of goodness as stated by Mencius.Our current society has a lot of changes needed to bring the inate nature of human being to revival,keeping in mind that the negative energy seems to overcome the goodness of human beings towards each other.Therefore the main focus is at the environment,including how generations are brought up,the mode of governance to the people,the places of worship needs to be streamlined and many other points.It brings all that sorrounds people as well as what is consumed by the mind.It is important to understand that if there is need to change the environment of human being,the human beings with their hearts and brain,must first make corrections to one self,to cleansen the society of the wrong doings that are not part of human nature,to recorrect the environment by recovering the destructed point.The world today tries to make corrections through the law,but it is not yet perfected or it is not enough to regerate the full innate nature of human beings.Mencius through his philosophical work has made a step in guiding the world through his teaching.Furthermore,Mencius plays a significant role in this paper’s subject matter,particularly in proclaiming that human nature is good according to his philosophy,and that this goodness is expressed in the four cardinal virtues of wisdom,kindness,propriety,and righteousness.According to Mencius,the four cardinal virtues will be studied in depth in order to shed light on how they should be used.It is important to note,according to Mencius,that these virtues are the result of our feelings toward other people and the rest of the environment.According to him,benevolence stems from a caring feeling toward our neighbours and the environment in which we live.When people are compassionate to one another in their daily lives,it is reflected in the merciful surface that they provide to the next person.Consequently,Mencius came to demonstrate that human nature is good and to seek to eliminate what perverted the goodness in people,by instructing the leaders to refrain from treating people in a negative way,among other things.Mencius thought that goodness comes naturally in a world where people are born with good virtues,and that humans’ only job is to nature in order for the good qualities to flourish.When someone else is in need or has been injured,the human nature of compassion is commonly demonstrated.When you display benevolence,the effects are that you strive to provide that individual with something to eat if that person is suffering from a food shortage.For example,hurt can manifest itself in a variety of ways.A person’s psychological,mental,and physical well-being might be jeopardised.Human behaviour towards a hurt person is frequently characterised by the desire to comfort the individual in question.In some cases,such as when a loved one has died or when a person has suffered a bodily injury,people are more likely to administer first assistance to the individual.Some people of society may experience heartbreak,and the natural desire of humans is to help that individual to feel better as quickly as possible.According to the philosophy,everyone has greater compassion for the people who are closest to them in their lives,such as relatives or members of the family,friends who are very close to the person,and even the teacher,than they do for other people who are distant from them by blood,friendship,or even strangers.If someone is truly benevolent,they will be propelled by their feelings for other people and will act in such a way that things work out well for everyone.With regard to the various facets of leadership,a benevolent leader must be aware of how their ruling policies effect the people and respond correctly in order for those under their command to respect their authority. |
