A Study On The Common Characters And Place Names Found In The Old Records Of Qinyuan Count

China has a long tradition of compiling historical records,and Chinese historical records are second to none in the world in terms of quality and quantity.Local chronicles occupy half of the history books,and its history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.The contents of the local chronicles are all-encompassing and wide-ranging,and are rare and valuable research materials.Due to the uneven printing technology and conditions,coupled with the influence of the popular folk characters in the society at that time,even though the local chronicles in the Ming and Qing dynasties belonged to the official engraved version,some of them were also poorly engraved,and a lot of folk characters appeared,which was very important for the development of Chinese characters.The study of history and philology has certain value.In addition,from the place nouns recorded in the local chronicles,we can also glimpse some appearances of the local dialects at that time.The article takes the four ancient chronicles of Qinyuan County,Shanxi Province as the research object,and analyzes their types,causes and characteristics on the basis of the folk characters contained in them.On the basis of compiling the topony words recorded in it,analyze their changes and some language phenomena reflected behind the changes.There are three chapters in the thesis.The first chapter is the introduction,which makes a brief overview of the existing important research results in local chronicles,engraved folk characters,and topony words,and introduces the existing ancient chronicles in Qinyuan County.The second chapter is divided into two parts.Firstly,we divides the folk characters in the ancient chronicles into five categories:complex,simplified,transformed,mutated,and CongGu.Each category has several subcategories,and each subcategory is supplemented by a certain amount of examples.Secondly,we examines and interprets six difficult and folk characters such as“(?)”“萨”“滁”“(?)”“殳”“(?)”,which clears the obstacles for reading local chronicles.The third chapter firstly sorts out the topony words seen in the local chronicles;secondly summarizes the rules of topony words nomenclature;again,excavates some linguistic phenomena from the use and change of nomenclature over the past 300 years,such as Ge Tou Ci,Shi Gan Ci;finally,we analyzes several main reasons for the change of topony,such as the influence of dialect changes,the change of customs to elegant and so on.
