Research On The Narrative Strategy Of Alternate Historical Novels In The New Century

Since the new century,alternate historical novels have gradually prevailed in cyberspace and have been widely welcomed by readers.As a network type novel,the text of alternate historical novels has its relatively unified narrative strategy and value position.These common features not only gather the target readers,but also provide a relatively sufficient interpretation space for the thesis.This thesis is based on the target text of alternate historical novels in the new century,according to the narrative strategy,and mainly discusses the narrative art of alternate historical novels from four aspects: the narrative logic,the narrative structure,the narrative perspective and the linguistic feature.The thesis is mainly composed of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction firstly explains the concept of alternate historical novels,then combs the research status of alternate historical novels,and finally briefly discusses the significance and research ideas of the thesis.The text consists of four chapters.The first chapter discusses the narrative logic of alternate historical novels.Combined with Bremert’s sequence structure and Greimas’ s action meta structure,this thesis analyzes the basic narrative framework at the story level of alternate historical novels from two aspects: the overhead narration and the desire narration,and obtains two main logical lines: historical reconstruction and individual metaphor.The second chapter discusses the narrative structure of alternate historical novels.It analyzes the common plot structure in alternate historical novels from the following three aspects: the linear structure with historical progress as the core,the upgrade structure of advanced game and the mirror structure of differentiated comparison.The third chapter discusses the narrative perspective of alternate historical novels.Taking the narrative focus as the starting point,it is divided into two levels: the zero focalization of the panoramic history and the indefinite internal focalization centered on the protagonist,to explore its pursuit of presenting grand history and realizing readers’ lasting empathy.The fourth chapter discusses the linguistic feature of alternate historical novels.Starting from the defamiliarization characteristics of literary language and the image characteristics of image language,on the basis of explaining the defamiliarization characteristics of relative ontology,this thesis also analyzes the image color of the alternate historical novel’s language under the influence of visual culture.The conclusion summarizes the narrative strategy of alternate historical novels in the new century,affirms the positive significance and reflects on its shortcomings.
