Study On The Artistic Creation Of Graphic Language Of Painting

“Flatness” is not only a painting language but also a painting form.In modern visual vocabulary,“flatness” is regarded as the emergence of a new visual form.However,looking at the development of the entire history of painting art,flatness,as a form of painting language,appeared as early as in the cave murals discovered in Spain and Southern France in the 19 th century.With the continuous development of the history of painting,flatness,as a language of artistic expression,has been presented in the public field of vision in different periods and backgrounds by various artists in different ways.Cubism,as a beginning of a new art form,is a school of art that was based on the previous art inheritance and was once again broken with tradition by artists.Cubism artists re-appreciated Western art from a new perspective to create art.At the same time,the language forms in the paintings of Cubism are also “flat”,which is very typical.This paper took the paintings of Cubism as the object to analyze and study the language forms of the paintings.Although the entire period of Cubism is not long,its influence on other art schools and later generations is huge,which is worthy of our in-depth study.The artworks of Cubism are also very controversial.Taking Cubism as the subject of this paper,it hopes to review and understand the difference between the “flatness” of this period and other periods,and whether the painting style with the feature of “flatness”can continue to last in the future painting creation.
