Analysis On Test Reading Questions Of HSK Level Five Based On Genre Analysis Theory

Text reading is an important part of HSK level 5,and it has become the focus of learners due to its large difficulty factor and score ratio.In order to meet the needs of the majority of Chinese learners,this paper studies text reading of HSK level 5 under the guidance of genre analysis theory.In order to deeply analyze text reading of HSK Level 5,this paper discusses the following two questions:(1)What types of genres exist in text reading of HSK level 5?(2)What is the tendency of the test questions in each part of text reading of HSK level5 in various genres? Based on two questions,this paper takes 22 sets of text reading of HSK level 5 as the research object.For the first question,this paper classifies text reading based on the genre classification and outline structure proposed by Martin &Rose.After confirming genre types,this paper uses the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the frequency and the tendency of test site of each genre type.For the second question,this paper tends to carry out research from three dimensions according to the content of each part of the test site of text reading.In the part of choosing words and filling in the blanks,this paper takes the correct choice as the orientation,and analyze the test sites with reference to the three types of lexical cohesion proposed by Martin.In the part of short information,taking the correct choice as the orientation,this paper makes quantitative statistics on the test points from the two aspects of main idea and detailed information,and analyzes the tendency of the test points in various genre types;In the part of long information,The study divides questions into seven categories,and uses a combination of quantitative and methods to analyze the seven categories of questions in various genres.Finally,analyzing the trend of three parts and give some advise for teachers and students,Through research,this paper draws some conclusions:(1)In the main text genre system,there are two genre types in text reading of HSK level 5,story and history,and history is more than story;In the sub genre system,there are seven genre types in text reading of HSK five level,which including narratives,exemplums,anecdotes,recounts,expositions,challenges and biographical recounts,among which the expositions are the most common.(2)In the part of choosing words and filling in the blanks,By comparing the three types of lexical relationships,it is found that the sequence relationship has the highest frequency,while the classification relationship has the lowest frequency;(3)In the part of short information: On the whole,the overall question of detailed information appears more frequently than the main and general questions,but there are differences in various genre types.Narrative,anecdotes and biographical recounts tend to examine information extraction and judgment.The exemplums,challenges and expositions tend to examine grasp of the main idea of the text.(4)In the part of long information: form the overall perspective,the selection and acquisition of detailed information is the key content of this part of the test,but the tendency of the test sites of each genre is different.
