Archives and other cultural institutions provide researchers with data analysis,visualization and other knowledge services through digital humanities technologies and methods.However,archival resources under the background of digital humanities mainly serve professionals,and the general public cannot understand them deeply.Archival culture needs to be spread in a wider community so that its unique cultural value can be explored and inherited.The concept of "gamification" makes it widely used in education,cultural promotion and other fields,and becomes a new way of archival culture dissemination.Through case study,this study analyzes the gamification design ideas in the dissemination process of archival culture from the three elements of content,users and technology.First,archival information provides knowledge service for the public in the form of visualization,and itself acts as a visual game for the audience to interpret.Secondly,considering the age,major,interest and other individual factors of the audience,the archive content can classify the knowledge structure for different target users,and integrate it into gamification design to meet the needs of users’ culture,research and communication.In addition,VR,AR and other digital technologies strengthen the dissemination of archives culture interesting.Gamification of archives relies on cross-boundary cooperation of various cultural institutions and is based on objective archival resources.Adhere to user subdivision as the dominant,screen and integrate the content of archive resources,construct suitable knowledge context,and establish the emotional bond between users and cultural memory;The knowledge content of archives is transformed into game elements,and the story is constructed to form a digital archive space that can be explored.Use game mechanics to drive active engagement and create new cultural memories.The design practice took "Nanjing Ming City Wall" as the theme,combined with the gamification design method proposed in this study,redesigned the archival resources of the city wall,in order to protect and inherit the city wall culture.
