| In the current era,the traditional English classroom can not meet the real needs of students’ development.Improving the teaching efficiency of English classroom and improving students’ interest in English learning have become the key issues in the reform of English classroom teaching.English courses should grasp the function of implementing and cultivating students’ core literacy concepts,and teachers should constantly guide students in the direction of improving their language application capability,cooperation and sharing,and promoting all-round development.The advanced educational idea contained in Manabu Sato’s Learning Community Theory is of great theoretical value and practical significance to our country’s basic school reform.From the perspective of "Learning Community",it is feasible and necessary to combine it with English classroom teaching in primary school and conduct in-depth research.The purpose of this study is to find more effective methods and strategies for the construction of primary English classroom learning community,and enrich the theoretical connotation of primary English classroom learning community.To help primary English teachers to understand the construction of classroom learning community and solve the predicament in primary English classroom teaching.This study summarizes the domestic and foreign related research of "learning community" and "classroom learning community" and theoretical basis.Based on this,it interprets its connotation,characteristics and value implication.From four aspects,student’s role,teacher’s role,students’ participation cooperation in classroom,and teacher-student participation cooperation in classroom,summarizes its characteristic.And use this as the basis for subsequent research.According to the connotation and characteristics of primary English classroom learning community,this research uses classroom observation,questionnaire survey and teachers interview methods to investigate the English classroom of S Primary School in Haikou City.It is found that the problems existing in the process of constructing primary English classroom learning community are: teachers lack the awareness of organizing the community,students lack the awareness and ability of cooperative learning,teachers and students lack effective interaction,and students can’t develop the habit of dialogue and listening.It further analyzes the root of the problem,and finds that the reasons for these problems are: the concept of teacher and student role,the teacher’s realistic teaching difficulty,the limitation of classroom environment,and the teacher’s lack of correct goal orientation.Finally,combined with the problems and reasons discovered by research,strategies for constructing a learning community in primary English classrooms are put forward:The first is the strategies of constructing a primary English classroom teachers-students learning community : forming a common emotional connection between teachers and students,construction of an open classroom teaching environment,changing the way of activities in English classrooms,and play the guiding role of English teachers correctly.The second is the strategies of constructing a primary English classroom students’ learning community:cultivating students’ ability of dialogue and listening,rationally assigning members of cooperative study groups,promoting the cooperative consciousness of the community,and exerting the promoting role of multiple evaluations. |
