As one of Japan’s best female directors,Miwa Nishikawa,under the influence of her teacher is Hirokazu Koreeda,and her films revolve around the themes of "family","interpersonal relations" and "daily life".In the film,Miwa Nishikawa fully shows his concern for individuals and reflection on society by virtue of her delicate female perspective and combining social styles,characters and personal experiences in various places.Miwa Nishikawa integrates her thoughts and feelings about life into the film,and shows the Japanese aesthetics in her eyes on the basis of inheriting the advantages of her predecessors.Since her debut work Snake Strawberry,Miwa Nishikawa has always adhered to the concept of integration of choreography and director,participated in the whole process of film production,and won many film awards in Japan.The "Author Theory" emphasises that the real author of the film should be the director,not the screenwriter,and the director should occupy an absolute dominant position in film creation.This article selects the six-length films directed by Miwa Nishikawa as the research object,and analyses the personal characteristics embodied in the film from the three dimensions of film theme,narrative elements and audio-visual language.On this basis,this paper attempts to introduce the“ Auteur theory”into the critical methods into the film research of Miwa Nishikawa,trying to try to Explore the creative experience of Miwa Nishikawa and the reasons for the formation of film style.The paper is mainly divided into four chapters.The film style and reasons for the formation of Miwa Nishikawa are deeply explained in the context of "analysing the theme,narrative elements and audio-visual language embodied in Miwa Nishikawa in the film".The first chapter elaborates the director’s life and creative experience;the second chapter deeply analyses the creation style of Miwa Nishikawaand the film,and excavates its "author" characteristics through realistic audio-visual language and dramatic dilution narrative characteristics;the third chapter discusses the two major themes of Miwa Nishikawa and the film: trauma and lies,and analyses its electricity.The source and repair of trauma in the film and the two sides of lies;Chapter 4 establishes Miwa Nishikawa’s identity as the "film author" and analyses the reasons for the formation of his personal characteristics from the perspective of growth experience,previous influence and Japanese film development.Studying Miwa Nishikawa’s films from the perspective of the "Author Theory" and digging out its consistent sequence of works has certain creative inspiration for the domestic film market,where original directors are relatively scarce.
