The Symbolic Characteristics Of Dance Form

The study of symbolic characteristics of dance form is related to dance ontology.Dance uses the human body as the medium of symbol expression to convey inner emotions.Symbol is a medium to convey information and express meaning,and to communicate and share information with human beings.Dance,as a cultural phenomenon,is also a symbol to reflect the ideology and social concept of an ethnic group.The Li ethnic group is the earliest and largest minority ethnic group in Hainan Island.To some extent,its dance form reflects the living habits of the ancestors of the Li ethnic group and the cultural connotation of Hainan and Li ethnic communities in the historical background.Starting from dance ontology,this paper analyzes the relationship between semiotics and dance shaping-up,sorts out the embodiment of symbolic characteristics of dance shaping-up in dance works,and puts these into the study in the dance of Li ethnic group,expanding the research methods of dance theory and exploring the origin of dance.Through the field investigation of the local Li ethnic group in Hainan,I experienced the local living environment of the Li ethnic group people on the spot.I also joined the schoolroom of Li ethnic group dance with Zhu Qing-yuan,the dance master of The Li ethnic group people in Hainan,and incorporated what I learned into the choreography practice when I participated in the party of "The Double-Third Festival",a Li Traditional Festival.From classroom learning to private investigation,to practice stage,culture of Li ethnic group as the background,extract Li ethnic group and style characteristics of dance,to interpret Li ethnic group dance notation,with "Li.Li".This works as an example,the symbolic features in dance shaping-up of Li ethnic group,but also in the process of creation for culture connotation of Li ethnic group and ethnic spirit and emotional sustenance.
