| Surrealism was an art movement in the 20th century that advocated the integration of life, dreams, reality, past and future in painting,so that works were often mysterious and grotesque.Magritte(Rene Magritte)is one of the representative painters of the surrealism, and the painting space in his works arouses the author’s strong interest. In his works, there is no clear boundary between "Time" and "Space",and everything is uncertain. This way of dealing with the space endows the works with a deeper meaning and brings new enlightenment and thinking to the viewers. This paper is based on Magritte’s way of painting space expression,By studying the painter’s distinctive painting style and unique spatial form of the picture, and combining it with the author’s practice and perceptions in oil painting,I apply it to the creation of the series "The view" to make the works more vivid and personal. The thesis discusses from three aspects:firstly,it discusses the formation and development of Magritte’s painting style, and analyzes and studies the four kinds of space expression in common use in Magritte’s paintings, this part focuses on the influence of Magritte’s painting space on the series "View" from the aspect of the form selection of the painting space, including its influence on the author’s conception and practice in his creation, the last part is the author’s thinking about the problems in the course of the creation of the series, and the harvest and enlightenment brought to the author in the course of study and practice.Through the study of Magritte, the author has made great progress in the creation of oil painting, breaking through the author’s constraints on the conventional form of composition, broaden the thinking. |
