Research On Chinese Traditional "Cyan"

As a representative traditional Chinese color,"cyan" has a long history and is widely used in traditional art.From the perspective of "cyan" natural mineral pigments,this paper uses the method of mutual verification between ancient documents and real objects,and examines the word "cyan","cyan" in the traditional Chinese color system,"cyan" natural mineral pigments,and "cyan" in various The four aspects of presentation in traditional art categories are studied,the systematic knowledge structure of Chinese traditional "cyan" is constructed,its application and performance in modern times are compared,and the inheritance and development of traditional "cyan" mineral pigments in contemporary painting are analyzed.The first and second chapters of the thesis study the historical and cultural background of "cyan" in ancient China.The word "cyan" was originally used to refer to natural minerals,and gradually evolved into a color word with rich semantics,which can be used to represent blue,green and even black.As one of the five colors in China,"cyan" corresponds to the five elements and belongs to wood,and corresponds to the spring in the five seasons.It is a symbol of vitality and is widely used in ancient Chinese society.The third chapter of the thesis takes the "cyan" natural mineral pigment as the main analysis object,and studies from four aspects: category,name,production process and use method."Cyan" natural mineral pigment is a typical representative of traditional painting materials,and its names are very rich.After sorting and analysis,36 appellations used to refer to "cyan" natural mineral pigments have been verified,which are classified into seven categories,and their names are summarized.law.The fourth chapter of the thesis analyzes the application of "cyan" in traditional landscape painting,flower and bird painting and figure painting,as well as its presentation in other categories of traditional art.By distinguishing and comparing the use of "cyan" in different traditional art categories,the similarities and differences are analyzed from the aspects of color,material,name,expression content and expression method.It is found that the ancients’ use of "cyan" not only stems from the elements of realistic colors,but also has a subjective aspect,as well as the mutual influence between various art categories.The fifth chapter of the thesis compares and analyzes the inheritance and development of traditional "cyan" mineral pigments in contemporary painting from the aspects of pigment and painting practice.
