Moaern And Contemporary Freehand Style Seal Cutting On The Acceptance Of General’s Seal

This paper studies the acceptance of General’s Seal by modern and contemporary freehand style of seal creation,and analyzes the changes and causes of aesthetic ideas of seal cutting creation.The article discusses from four aspects.First,it analyzes the freehand brushwork color of the general seal in different omposition,special word method,space and production method.Secondly,it discusses the literati’s acceptance of the freehand brushwork of general seal after their involvement in seal cutting.Under the influence of the thought of "seal originated from the Qin and Han dynasties" and "Printing outside the seal",the acceptance of the freehand brushwork of General’s Seal is very different.It focuses on the analysis of the creation of General’s Seal style by Wu Changshuo,Qi Baishi and Lai Chusheng,as well as their influence on the creation of modern and contemporary freehand brushwork style.Third,the contemporary freehand brushwork style is booming,and the creation of the General’s Seal brushwork style plays a supplementary role in the contemporary freehand brushwork style.The case analysis of the contemporary seal carters who draw lessons from the General’s seal style is carried out to discuss their acceptance of the freehand brushwork of the General’s Seal as well as their breakthrough and limitations.Fourth,absorb the above research results and the author’s personal knowledge,share the author’s practical process of General’s Seal style creation and experience and enlightenment.
