| In the context of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,it is the main content of this study that is to disseminate and promote the classic Chinese red culture to the world,so that people in different cultural backgrounds can better interpret the Chinese red revolutionary culture and the immortal spirit of saving the country of a generation of Lingnan pioneers. The paper takes the Ten Chapters of Lingnan as an original text under the perspective of thick translation theory, and explores the translation strategy of translating the red culture correctly with Chinese characteristics and the historical facts of modern Chinese history under the perspective of thick translation theory, and better disseminate and promote the culture and connotation of the modern Chinese red revolution. The paper applies three manifestations in the thick translation theory:text-self,text-close and text-remote,and conducts a translation practice study on the Chinese-English translation of Ten Chapters of Lingnan from the perspective of thick translation theory.Through the case study method, the study finds that the thick translation theory aims to enrich the cultural connotation of the target language by adding annotations to form an in-depth historical and cultural background, thus making the target language readers respect and understand the source language culture more. Therefore, the reasonable use of thick translation strategies and translation methods can make the implicit cultural information of the source language text explicit, extend the research perspective of the translation of red culture readings, add interest to the translation results, and greatly improve the readability of the text. |
