The History And Changes Of Chinese Education Association In Macao

This study takes Macao Education and Macao Chinese Education Association as the research object.Through a systematic review of the historical evolution of Macao Education and the historical development of Macao Chinese Education Association,this study analyzes and summarizes the experience and achievements of Macao Education in civic moral education,teacher management and patriotism education,highlights the political function of Macao Chinese Education Association in the process of Macao education development,and points out the future direction for Macao education development.The review of Macao’s education history includes four parts: first,the background of Macao’s education;Second,the development of Macao’s official education,church education,Chinese education and normal education in the process of modernization;Third,the development of education in Macao before and after the founding of new China;Fourth,the communication and cooperation between the government and the people and the gradual improvement of education in Macao in the process of modernization.The historical review of Macao Chinese Education Association includes three parts: first,understand the experience of Macao Chinese Education Association through the change of its venue;Second,be familiar with the background,specific contents and effects of the working policies of Macao Chinese Education Association in peacetime and wartime;Third,explore the development and significance of cultural and educational activities undertaken by Macao Chinese Education Association.Based on the above research contents,the research conclusion is drawn: the Macao Chinese Education Association has witnessed and participated in every major event of Macao Education since its establishment,which plays an important role in promoting the development of Macao Education and maintaining Macao social stability.The educational political function of Macao Chinese Education Association is mainly reflected in enhancing civic awareness and maintaining social and political stability;Assisting in educational legislation and promoting the professionalization of teachers;Carrying forward national culture and inheriting the spirit of patriotism and love for Macao.Macao’s successful experience in civic moral education,teacher management and patriotism education also points out the direction for the future development of Macao’s education: strengthening civic moral education in primary and secondary schools and cultivating social citizens with political quality;Establishing and improving the teacher management system and building a contingent of teachers with firm political position;Strengthening education on national identity and patriotism.
