With the rapid development of information technology,the programmer group must become an indispensable and important force,but the mental health and occupational health problems caused by the work stress of this occupational group are becoming more and more serious,so it is of practical significance to investigate how to effectively relieve the work stress of programmers in order to increase their occupational happiness.Combined with the psychological capital in the field of positive psychology,which has emerged in recent years,this study investigates the relationship between work stress,psychological capital and occupational well-being of programmers,with the aim of exploring new ways to relieve programmers’ work stress and providing theoretical and empirical bases for subsequent research.This study investigates and collects relevant data through questionnaire star online questionnaire fixed to relevant enterprise programmers,and 387 valid questionnaires were collected in total,and the sample data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 statistical software,mainly through descriptive analysis,variance test of work stress,psychological capital and occupational well-being of different demographic variables,including independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA,and correlation analysis,regression analysis and mediation effect analysis,and other empirical methods of multivariate statistical analysis to test the hypotheses.Finally,targeted strategies are proposed based on the results of statistical analysis,so as to reduce programmers’ work stress and improve employees’ psychological health.The results of the study indicate that.(1)The overall work stress of programmers in this survey is moderately and slightly high,based on the dimensional statistics from high to low,which are technology change,career development,work itself,and role conflict.The work stress of programmers showed significant gender differences and differences in whether or not they also held management positions.(2)The overall level of psychological capital was moderately high,from high to low based on the dimensions of self-efficacy,responsiveness,hope,and optimism.Psychological capital showed significant differences in age,education,whether or not to hold a managerial position,and marital status.(3)The level of occupational well-being was higher than the theoretical medium figure and was at a moderately high level,based on dimensional statistics from high to low as interpersonal support,job motivation,job satisfaction,emotional exhaustion,and occupational health.Occupational well-being showed significant gender differences,age differences,education differences,differences in whether or not they also held managerial positions,and differences in marital status.(4)Programmers’ job stress showed a significant negative relationship with occupational well-being,and psychological capital showed a significant positive relationship with occupational well-being.(5)Programmers’ job stress negatively predicted occupational happiness,and psychological capital positively predicted occupational happiness.The mediating role of psychological capital in the influence mechanism of programmers’ work stress and occupational well-being was not significant.
