As a form of cinema and television art,documentary plays an important role in the living inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.In recent years,the Party and the State attach great importance to the protection of cultural and natural heritage and have issued a series of policies to promote the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage.The arrival of the microinformation era also promotes the protection and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage.Micro-documentary,characterized by small length,small content,and fast pace,has become an appropriate form of intangible cultural heritage documentaries in the new media era.The intangible cultural heritage program in this work is Beihai shell carving.Beihai shell carving is a traditional ethnic handicraft in Guangxi.Artisans skillfully use the natural shape,color,and texture of shells to create lifelike shell carving paintings through design,carving and collage.Their works are exquisite and have high artistic appreciation.Based on the creation theory and application research of intangible cultural heritage micro-documentary,this paper summarizes and analyzes the works "Shell Carving ·Passing on the Art".On the one hand,guided by theories,this paper explored the narrative strategies of intangible cultural heritage micro-documentary.On the other hand,this paper answers the question of how to inherit intangible heritage skills from generation to generation in the new era.The article is divided into six parts.The first part briefly summarizes the background and original intention of this work.The second part introduces the concept and characteristics of micro-documentary,summarizes and analyzes the current situation of former documentaries related to shell carving,and points out that the current shell carving documentaries have been relatively comprehensive in content selection,but there are shortcomings such as single protagonist and outdated content.The third part elaborates on the practice of graduation design work "Shell Carving ·Passing on the Art",showing the whole practice content of this work from three aspects: overview,specific creation process,and later dissemination.The fourth part analyzes the narrative strategies of "Shell Carving ·Passing on the Art",that is,the narrative perspective is diversified,the narrative way is storied,the narrative content is detailed,and the narrative language is poetic,so as to present the narrative art of the work.The fifth part discusses the innovation and reflection of this work.On the one hand,it summarizes the main innovation points of the work,and on the other hand,it reflects on the shortcomings of the work.The sixth part refocuses on documentary creation,summarizes the harvest from this practice,and looks forward to the future prospect of intangible cultural heritage microdocumentaries.It is hoped that the practice and exposition of this work can attract more attention to Beihai shell carving and enable more people to participate in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,so as to make a contribution to the survival and prosperity of the traditional craft in the new era.
