A Study Of Idioms In "Xiangyan Jieyi"

Xiang Yan Jie Yi is a special notebook book in Qing Dynasty.The book compiles idioms and ballads in Beijing and Tianjin,It has the characteristics of strong regional color.Idioms are produced and widely spread in people’s daily life and oral communication.They are the concentrated reflection of local people’s living habits and folk customs,and have rich cultural connotation.This paper takes the idioms and ballads in the book as the main research object,and studies the idioms in the book from three perspectives: basic type analysis,semantic type and cultural connotation.The main content of this paper is divided into four parts: the first part summarizes the basic situation of idioms included in "Xiang Yan Jie Yi".The second part classifies the idioms included in "Xiang Yan Jie Yi" according to the basic types.The third part summarizes the semantic types of idioms included in "Xiang Yan Jie Yi" from four aspects: natural phenomena,material production,social life and life philosophy.Idioms are the living reflection of social life and culture.The fourth part is also the key part of this paper.From the perspective of cultural linguistics,it excavates the local customs and cultural materials reflected in idioms in the book,summarizes their regional characteristics and folk cultural characteristics,and analyzes the commercial culture,local customs and social production cultural connotation embodied in idioms.
