"Ting" verbs are important verbs that express auditory behavior and emotional attitudes in the process of perceiving the external world, learning language, communicating, and they are also an important part of vocabulary learning in international Chinese education.English and Chinese "Ting" verbs are high-frequency words in their respective language systems, and have a high value for comparative research. However,in the field of international Chinese education research, scholars focus on semantic transfer and metaphor comparative research, and pay less attention to students’ acquisition.Chinese "Ting" verbs are practical and basic.Doing a good job in the teaching of "Ting" verbs can not only help students master the learning methods and strategies of basic words, quickly adapt to Chinese education, but also help to build a vocabulary network, constantly improve vocabulary quality and vocabulary learning. Therefore, based on the Global Chinese Interlanguage Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, this paper will explore the errors in the acquisition of "Ting" verbs by native English-speaking Chinese learners. This dissertation will be discussed in detail in four chapters. The first chapter is a comparative study of English and Chinese "Ting" verbs, including semantics and grammar, comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences between the two.The second chapter is an investigation of students’ acquisition of "Ting" verbs.Based on the global Chinese interlanguage corpus, collecting the corpus of students’ acquisition of "Ting" verbs, analyzing the semantic content and grammatical structure of the verbs, contrasting the characteristics of summarization and acquisition of modern Chinese corpus. The third chapter specifically analyzes the error corpus.Based on the comparative research on the ontology of "Ting" verbs in English and Chinese,it explores the types and causes of errors in students’ acquisition of Chinese "Ting" verbs. The fourth chapter puts forward teaching suggestions from multiple levels according to the characteristics and errors of students’ acquisition of "Ting" verbs,so that students can learn and use Chinese "Ting" verbs well. The study found that Chinese learners whose native language is English have the characteristics of incompleteness, singularity and low level in the process of acquiring "Ting" verbs. When learners are not fully familiar with the rules of the target language, they generally rely on their mother tongue knowledge.Influenced by the negative transfer of the mother tongue and their own learning strategies, students will not be able to acquire the phonetics, semantics and grammar of Chinese "Ting" verbs. This paper puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions according to the reasons for the errors. At the same time, the "Ting" verbs have similarities with other sensory verbs, and they have reference value for other sensory verbs such as "see","smell" and "touch" in teaching. |
