The huge amount of the synonyms in Chinese is very difficult for the foreign students while learning Chinese.This article selects four words which share the same meaning of the verb,“to know”,and researches and analyses them based on the corpus.This article provides an empirical case for deepening difference research of Chinese synonyms which are related to “to know”.This research will be helpful for correlative modern Chinese grammar research and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.This article looks back on the synonym research and synonymous error research,presents the research scope and methods of this study,and outlines the framework of this study.The words considered in this study are “zhidao” “liaojie” “lijie” “mingbai”.And then this article provides a selection of using cases of the four mentioned words on the basis of Modern Chinese Corpus---BCC & CCL,and studies these cases in statistical analysis technique.Based on the analysis,this chapter explores the usage of structure to show the difference of the four words.This article also concludes the error types of the four considered words related to the verb “to know” on the basis of the HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus.It then analyses the error types more carefully combined with the ontological research finding and finally specifically analyses the meaning of the errors.
