The English curriculum standards state that "emotional attitudes are an important factor affecting students’ learning and development",and that the teaching process should aim to develop students’ emotional attitudes such as interest,motivation,self-confidence,will and cooperative spirit. However, today, the teaching mode of primary school English classrooms is still coloured by examination-based education, and rural students in particular need teachers to implement effective emotional education due to the special nature of their psychological development. The value of emotion education is beginning to be recognized, and research on it has gradually extended from the theoretical to the practical level, but the scope of research is not comprehensive enough, and there is less research on emotion education in rural primary schools. What are the problems with implementing emotion education in rural primary school English classrooms today?
