| In the context of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt and the national cultural and tourism brand construction of the "Millennium Canal",the creation of cultural and tourism scenes is a pivotal means for the renewal and transformation of the traditional tourism space along the Grand Canal.On the other hand,due to the dual impact of the transformation of social and economic forms and the spread of COVID-19,people’s production and lifestyle have undergone profound changes,and the relationship between people and tourism has undergone significant changes.Re-examining the philosophical nature of tourism and the relationship between poetic dwelling and the flow of meaning is particularly prominent.During this period,tourism has endowed with deeper connotations and higher expectations,and it was particularly vital to pay attention to the poetic of space in tourism destinations.How to excavate the poetic value of traditional tourism destinations along the Grand Canal,how to build a poetic cultural tourism scene to meet the growing needs of tourists for a better life,and how to realize a poetic dwelling in social changes,is also an urgent consideration in the current process of cultural and tourism integration development.This paper selects the Maple Bridge Scenic Spot,the core cultural landmark of the Suzhou section of the Grand Canal,as the research case,focusing on the core issue of the composition of the scene,that is,the influence of the amenities combination on the poetic of space in tourism destinations.The study consists of three phases.Firstly,GIS spatial analysis method is used to reveal the spatial distribution law of core amenities and the spatial differentiation characteristics of amenities combinations.On this basis,this paper further identifies the typical scenes composed of different types of amenities.Secondly,following a strict scale development procedure,this paper develops and verifies a tourism destination spatial poetic measurement scale through a hybrid research method combined with qualitative and quantitative research.Finally,based on the first two stages of research,the online situational experiment method is used to test the influence of different types of amenities combinations on the poetic of space in tourism destinations.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Among the three types of core amenities,only cultural amenities and commercial amenities have significant spatial agglomeration characteristics.This paper identifies four local spatial clustering patterns(HH,LH,HL,and LL)are identified.The overall performance is the spatial structure of the "center-transition-edge"(the "center" area is the HH area,the"transition" area is the LH area and the HL area,and the"edge" area is the LL area).(2)This paper develops and verifies a tourism destination spatial poetic scale with 12 items in 4 dimensions.Respectively as three items that are "aesthetically attractive"(aesthetic enjoyment,aesthetic atmosphere,aesthetic mood),three items of "easy to generate meaningful association"(unique local temperament,inner meaning connection,and resonance of artistic conception),three items of "stimulating association and imagination"(literary knowledge association,imaginative resonance,fitting imagination),three items of"generating diverse emotions"(self-emotional expression,empathy,and longing).(3)Through the online situational experiment method,this paper first verifies that combinations of different amenities cause a significant influence on the poetic of space and aesthetic judgment.Secondly,it verifies aesthetic judgment as a mediator in the influence of amenities combinations on the poetic of space.Further to say,different types of amenities combinations will affect tourists’ perception of space poetic by changing individual aesthetic judgment.The main theoretical contributions of this research are:(1)Conceptualizes and empirically tests the poetic of space in tourism destinations,enriching and developing the understanding and cognition of spatial attributes and space values in existing tourist destination spatial research.(2)Try to explore the influence of different types of amenities combinations on the spatial poetic perception of tourism destinations,broaden the research on amenities combinations in micro and small-scale space,and enrich the research perspective of scene theory to a certain extent.(3)Introduces aesthetic judgment as a mediator variable to further reveal the internal mechanism of the impact of different types of amenities combinations on tourists’ spatial poetic perception.(4)Through a three-stage mixed study to evaluate the effect of amenities combinations on the poetic of space in tourism destinations,it attempts to localize the theory of scenes in microscopic and smallscale space. |
