With the continuous development of artificial intelligence,it has been widely used in the field of robot manufacturing, and the related ethical issues have attracted people’s attention.Due to the fact that robots start lately in technology and application, the research on robot ethics is still in the groping stage. Therefore,it is necessary to accelerate the research and development of this technology. The translator chooses a video called Moral Math of Robot: Can Life and Death Decisions Be Coded by the World Science Festival of the United States as the source text of the translation task and translates its full text. This video provides a comprehensive overview of the development of artificial intelligence, whether robots can make moral decisions and whether we can program morality.Experts from various fields discuss the ethical and moral issues of robots. In this translation practice, dynamic equivalence theory is selected as the guidance of translation theory.Besides, how to apply dynamic equivalence theory to solve the translation problems of scientific and technological video texts is analyzed and explained in detail. This report contains five parts. The first part introduces the relevant background information and significance. The second part describes the source text, including the lexical, syntactic, textual features of the source text and the classification of target readers. The third part describes the translation process, including preparation for translation, translation process and quality control. The fourth part is case analysis.Based on the dynamic equivalence theory, the author analyzes the translation of scientific and technological texts from the lexical, syntactic and textual level. The translator analyzes the translation of terms, abbreviations, and nominalized structures from lexical level. At syntactic level, inanimate subject sentences and passive sentences are analyzed. The translator also analyzes cohesion and coherence in the textual level.Chapter five is the conclusion,in which the author summarizes the gains and shortcomings in the translation process.Through translation practice and the writing of translation practice report, the translator has a further understanding of scientific and technological texts, and learned more professional knowledge about artificial intelligence and robots.Through the practice of dynamic equivalence theory, the translator has found a way to overcome translation difficulties, and to some extent the translator’s translation ability has been improved. However, due to the lack of translation experience and accumulation of professional knowledge in relevant fields, the translation inevitably has certain deficiencies. It is hoped that this report will provide some assistant to translation researchers engaged in scientific and technological texts.
