The Study On "Gando Issue" From The Perspective Of Shenbao

The "Gando Issue" was a territorial and diplomatic dispute between China and Japan in the early 20 th century,aiming at the border of The Tumen River and the territory and Jurisdiction over Korean migrants crossing the border in the North of the River.Shenbao is one of the most influential Chinese newspapers in modern China.It reported a large number of contents about the "Gandao Issue" from 1907 to 1909 and 1915,which is an unfully utilized historical data other than historical records.This article mainly discusses the "declaration" about "problem between island",from the content of reports,inspection reports "shenbao" characteristics,the "island" between position and attitude,the process of the solution of the "island" between historical contribution,also analysis the view held by "shenbao" frontier territory.Through the investigation of the above aspects,this paper finds that the reports of Shenbao exposed the plots and acts of Japanese aggression,made the public timely understand the truth of the incident,and showed its distinct patriotic stance in the number and form of reports.It can be found from the thesis of Shenbao that it criticized the foreign policy of the Qing government and refuted the view of Japanese aggression.Shenbao has a clear and precise understanding of the boundary between China and the DPRK and the ownership of the "Gando",and also deeply recognizes the importance of the location of Yanji Hall for national defense and security.
