| As one of the most widely used languages in the world,English is an important tool for our country to communicate with the world.At the same time,English also plays a very important role in the entrance examination of middle school students.In the college entrance examination English test,English writing is a very critical item.English writing in English teaching is a branch that requires relatively high comprehensive ability and has a large room for improvement.Due to the relatively backward educational resources,uneven distribution of teachers and students,and different teaching quality in junior high schools in this research institute,the English writing level of senior high school students vary.Therefore,to help senior high school students improve their writing ability,eliminate writing obstacles,and enable senior high school students to meet the writing ability requirements of the English curriculum standards,this study proposes the following research questions based on the above actual situation: 1.What is the current situation of English writing of senior high school students? 2.What problems do senior high school students face when writing in English?And through the use of questionnaires,interviews,etc.This research investigates the writing status and teaching status of the three grades of senior high school students and teachers in Tongliao Shiyan Middle School,use SPSS and Microsoft Excel and other software to conduct data statistics and analysis,find and try to solve the problem.It provides a research basis for improving the quality of writing teaching and writing ability.Through the investigation,it is found that senior high school students and teachers have the following problems in English writing and teaching: writing attitude,writing skills,and psychological problems.First of all,the data shows that students in grades three are generally not interested in English writing,and most of their motivation for writing is to cope with parents and exams.Secondly,senior high school students usually have problems with vocabulary,sentences,paragraphs,and the layout of the whole article when writing in English,and do not have good writing habits.Finally,most students are full of negative emotions such as fear and resistance to English writing and are reluctant to write or even resist writing.In English writing teaching,there are insufficient writing training and insufficient discourse knowledge transfer.This paper puts forward corresponding solutions and suggestions for students and teachers on the above problems,such as cultivating students’ interest in writing;consolidating the language foundation;emphasizing the writing process;improving teaching methods,and so on.It is hoped that this research can play a positive role in improving English writing and teaching in senior high schools in the region. |
