Homomorphic words reflect the network characteristics of Chinese lexical structure and word-meaning association, which can deepen Chinese learners’ understanding of lexical conceptual meanings and metaphorical connotations."Earth, land, mountain, water, sea, and stream" are basic words to express geographic meaning, and they are also polysemous morphemes with strong word-forming ability in modern Chinese.Geographical homonyms with "earth, land, mountain, water, sea, and stream" involved in word formation are an important part of international Chinese vocabulary.Combined with the teaching of homomorphic words and metaphor theory, the more than 300 textbooks with "land, land, mountain, water, sea and stream" as common morphemes included in the comprehensive series of textbooks "Chinese Proficiency Standards for International Chinese Education" and "Developing Chinese".Geographical homonyms and their metaphorical connotations are investigated and explored. On the one hand, the construction of geographical homonyms is discussed from the perspective of the semantic extension and word-forming function of each morpheme item of "earth, land, mountain, water, sea, and stream".Word situation, promote Chinese learners to master the internal rules of vocabulary, word form, and semantics, and build a geographically similar vocabulary network. On the other hand, according to the types of metaphorical meaning mapping, metaphorical words are divided into structural metaphors, entity metaphors and orientational metaphors, extracting the similarity between metaphor ontology and metaphor, revealing the generation process of lexical metaphorical meaning, and exploring the relationship between associative reasoning and metaphorical meaning. The role of figurative thinking in the process of generating metaphorical meanings of geographical homonyms, summarizing the metaphorical usage of geographical homonyms, helping learners to break through the limitations of morpheme meaning, deeply understand and master the semantics of vocabulary, and promote the effective use of vocabulary Acquired.Based on the error analysis of the HSK dynamic composition corpus,it is found that the lexical errors of geographically similar words mainly include errors of typos and other words, errors of wrong words and errors of word collocations.Wrong word errors occurred most frequently, manifested as new word creation, word order reversal, use of wrong words, omission of words and multi-word errors. The frequency of typos and other word errors is the second, mainly manifested in the misuse of morphological errors and homophones and morphemes.Vocabulary collocation errors focus on the errors in grammatical collocations of words, and the frequency is the lowest, but it also reflects the problem of ignoring the knowledge of vocabulary collocation and combination in the teaching process.Combined with the erroneous corpus of geographically similar words,a feasible teaching strategy for geographically similar vocabulary is proposed from the levels of vocabulary interpretation, logical memory, and comprehensive lectures, aiming at expanding classroom vocabulary input on the basis of comprehensible vocabulary memory.Improve the efficiency of international Chinese vocabulary teaching and acquisition, and provide new ideas for the teaching and research of homophones for international Chinese education.
