Purpose: To explore the curative effect of modified Xiaochaihu decoction on cardiac neurosis with liver depression and spleen deficiency.Material and method: A total of 60 patients diagnosed as cardiac neurosis(liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome)in the outpatient department of Cardiology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oryzanol 20 mg orally three times a day,and the experimental group was treated with modified Xiaochaihu decoction 100 ml orally three times a day for 4 weeks. The TCM syndrome score,HAMA score,SDS score, blood routine test, liver function, kidney function and adverse reactions were observed before and after treatment.Statistical methods were performed using SPSS22.0 statistical software.Non-parametric test was used for grade data, and independent sample t test was used for count data. Results :1 Efficacy evaluation(1)Evaluation of curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine : The total effective rate of the control group was 76.7 %,and the total effective rate of the experimental group was 86.7 %.There was no significant difference in the evaluation of curative effect(P >0.05).However,the total score of TCM syndromes showed that the curative effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.01).The curative effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group in five aspects : palpitation, chest tightness and chest pain, hypochondriac pain, good too much, irritability or depression(P < 0.05).(2)Psychological efficacy evaluation : HAMA score : the total effective rate of the control group was 70 %,the total effective rate of the experimental group was 86.7 %,the experimental group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).SDS score : the efficacy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).2 Safety evaluationDuring the clinical observation, the blood routine, liver function and renal function of the two groups fluctuated within the normal range.3 Adverse reactionsDuring clinical observation, there were 2 cases of stomach discomfort, nausea and 1case of fatigue in the control group. There was one case of stomach discomfort in the experimental group. After adjusting the dosage of the control group and the medication time of the experimental group, the patients were tolerable without obvious adverse reactions. Conclusion :1.The curative effect of modified Xiaochaihu decoction on cardiac neurosis(liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome)is affirmative.2.Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction is effective in improving anxiety and depression of cardiac neurosis(liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome).3.Modified Xiaochaihu Decoction has good safety in the treatment of cardiac neurosis(liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome).
