Objective: To explore the syndrome characteristics of TCM of chronic heart failure based on the methods of principal component analysis and factor analysis. It is based on the TCM syndrome types and tutor medication experiences to explore the regularity of medication for chronic heart failure. Methods: A total of 317 patients with chronic heart failure were enrolled, using Excel to establish a clinical data database, the patient’s gender, age and clinical syndrome scoring were recorded and stored. The Rstudio statistical software was used to start the analysis with the principal component analysis and factor analysis. Results: The principal component analysis was used to extract 7 principal components with eigenvalues of 1.0 or more. The chronic heart failure syndrome was obtained by using the factor rotation method to extract 7 factors combined with the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine.Search the articles published by the tutor in the past, summarize his understanding of TCM syndrome differentiation, compare with the statistical results, and analyze his experience in syndrome differentiation. To sum up the law of their medication,so as to facilitate the inheritance of their experience in prescription medication. Results: Yin deficiency of liver and kidney(0.071),spleen deficiency(0.062),yang deficiency water flood(0.058),qi deficiency and blood stasis(0.051),heart-kidney yang deficiency(0.050),deficiency of heart spleen and blood(0.049),insufficiency of both the spleen and the kidney(0.043).Tutors often add or subtract Liuwei Dihuang Decoction in treating liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome,Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction in treating spleen qi deficiency syndrome,Wuling powder in treating yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome,Fugui Qiangxin Decoction in treating heart and kidney yang deficiency syndrome,Yangxin Decoction in treating heart and spleen blood deficiency syndrome,Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction in treating qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome, and Jinkui Shenqi Pill in treating spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome. Conclusion:Using the methods of principal component analysis and factor analysis, the clinical syndrome differentiation rules are obtained: The main symptoms of spleen qi deficiency syndrome were anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and spontaneous sweating, dizziness, tinnitus, fatigue, and white greasy fur;The main symptoms of liver and kidney yin deficiency syndrome are fine pulse, hot flushes and night sweats, and the concurrent symptoms are dry mouth and bitter mouth; The main symptoms of syndrome differentiation of qi deficiency and blood stasis are fat tongue, tooth marks on the tongue, blue lips, less urine, and pulse number; The main symptoms of the syndrome of deficiency of heart, spleen and blood were light nail color, white sticky phlegm or white foam phlegm, and chest tightness, cough or cough aggravated at night; The main symptoms of syndrome differentiation of deficiency of heart and kidney yang are weak waist and knees, weak tongue, cold shape and cold limbs, and the concurrent symptoms are restless sleep at night, white fur and stringy pulse; The main symptoms of Yang deficiency and water flooding syndrome differentiation are dyspnea, pulse knot generation, and concurrent symptoms are palpitation and exposure of blue tendons in the neck vein; The main symptoms of spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome are pale complexion, limb edema and loose stool, and the concurrent symptoms are shortness of breath, dyspnea and abdominal distension. The TCM syndrome types analyzed by statistics are consistent with the tutor’s experience. The related medication of the tutor has scientific principle of prescription formation, complete system and inheritance value.
