Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Premature Ejaculation Of Lung And Kidney Deficiency Type With Lifei Gujing Decoctio

Premature ejaculation(PE)is a common clinical ejaculation dysfunction disease,which usually occurs vaginal penetration within one minute(lifelong PE),or latency time less than three minutes(acquired PE).Those symptoms strongly affect patients’personal consequences.With the development of communication and exchange of information,sexual knowledge has been gradually popularized.Therefore,people’s attitude towards sex has become opener and they have more requirements for better sex life.As a result,more and more PE patients tend to seek for treatment.In China,the Traditional Chinese Medicine has a very long history of treating PE,which mainly focus on treating "heart,liver,spleen and kidney".However,Professor Zhang Yaosheng believes that some patients have patterns of lung-kidney vacuity,which should be given combined treatment of lung and kidney based on his years of clinical experience with traditional Chinese medicine,and his understanding of the related theories in Xuan Nv Jing.Under the guidance of the overall view of traditional Chinese medicine,combined with research in modern medical research,he has made a progress in the treatment of PE with Lifei Gujing Decoction.Although certain effects have been obtained,there lacks further support by experimental data.Therefore,this paper adapts clinical observation test to objectively reflect the effects of Lifei Gujing Decoction in the treatment of premature ejaculation with lung-kidney vacuity.Objective:In order to observe the safety and effectiveness of Lifei Gujing Decoction in the treatment of premature ejaculation with lung-kidney vacuity.Methods:Thirty-three patients diagnosed with lung-kidney vacuity who visited Professor Zhang Yaosheng’s outpatient clinic,age from 26 to 45 years with the average age of(33.97±5.76)years,were enrolled from March 2019 to November 2019.All patients have signed information consent form and were given drug granules of Lifei Gujing Decoction for treatment.At the same time,they were required to have sex at least twice every two weeks to record their average value of Intravaginal Ejaculation Latency Time(IELT),scores of Premature Ejaculation Diagnostic Tool(PEDT),scores of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndromes of lung-kidney vacuity and adverse reactions.After six weeks of treatment,results were analyzed statistically with spss23.0 software.Results:1.Baseline situation:thirty out of thirty-three patients have completed this study,who age from 26 to 45 years,with an average age of(33.97 ± 5.76)years.2.Comparison before and after treatment:after 6 weeks of treatment,(1)the average of patients’ IELT has extended from(108.33 ± 34.74)seconds to(255.27 ± 88.94)seconds,(P<0.001);(2)their PEDT scores have decreased from(12.87 ± 2.73)points to(7.13 ± 2.11)points,(P<0.001);(3)TCM symptom scores have dropped from(13.60 ± 5.10)points to(5.03 ± 3.55)points,(P<0.001).3.Cure rate and inefficiency:twenty-one patients have reached the cure standard,but one did not have any affect.Thus,the cure rate was 70%,and the inefficiency was 3.33%.4.After taking Lifei Gujing Decoction,most patients’ TCM symptom were improved earlier than their intercourse time.Generally,their scores were dropped after 2 weeks of taking medicine and their intercourse time were extended not until 4-6 weeks of treatment.Conclusion:Lifei Gujing Decoction can significantly extend patients’ IELT who have PE with lung-kidney vacuity.Moreover,their scores of PEDT and TCM symptom were also decreased with no adverse reactions.As a result,Lifei Gujing Decoction is proved to be both safe and effective in treating premature ej aculation with lung-kidney vacuity.
