Background: Premature Ejaculation(PE)is a common male sexual dysfunction, which affects about 20-30% of the male population. With the development and progress of society, people constantly improve the quality of life, leading to social changes in the concept of family needs is no longer the main purpose of the pursuit of life, but the two sides become pleasure,so that the length of duration of sex is very important.Male premature ejaculation is not simply a man’s own thing,in fact, premature ejaculation are different with other diseases. It is a relative disease, and its sexual partners are also closely related.Premature ejaculation is divided into three levels: 1)mild,insertion of the penis into the vagina within 1-3 minutes, can twitch 15 times above, but can not control the orgasm;2)moderate,insertion of the penis into the vagina can twitch 1-15 times, less than 1 minutes can not control ejaculation;3)severe,the penis cannot be inserted into the vagina,or can insert but not throbbing ejaculate namely.Chronic prostatitis is one of the most common urological diseases, and the incidence is high. Some foreign studies show that prostatitis affects about 30%-40% of male during sexual activity. At present, the PE assessment is divided into subjective and objective evaluation of two aspects, premature ejaculation diagnostic tool as a self-assessment tool for PE subjective symptoms, because it has better practicability and veracity,is widely used in the domestic and foreign related research.Different from chronic prostatitis, the definition of premature ejaculation has experienced different stages of development.Different organizations have different definitions and different standards.Although previous studies have different degrees of premature ejaculation and chronic prostatitis relation, but the research on the definition of premature ejaculation in lack of evidence based medicine, and the premature ejaculation with subjective symptoms of chronic prostatitis symptom between the small number of studies, the lack of in-depth research content. In this paper, based on the new classification standard of PE,we explored the relationship between PEDT and National Institutes of Health-chronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI),so as to provide a reference for the confirmation and improvement of the relationship between premature ejaculation and chronic prostatitis. Objective:To analyze the correlation between the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT)and National Institutes of Health-chronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI)in patients with lifelong premature ejaculation(LPE)and acquired premature ejaculation(APE).Methods:We performed a cross-section survey among 268 cases of PE of clinic patients from December 2015 to December 2016,including LPE in 142 cases;APE in 126 cases,as well as from the physical examination center of 80 cases of healthy men without PE complaint. The survey included demographic information, disease history, sexual history, and PEDT and the NIH-CPSI.Results:The scores of PEDT and NIH-CPSI(Total score and each item score)in the PE group were higher than those in the control group. There was no significant difference(P=0.452)in PEDT score between APE group and LPE group, while the NIH-CPSI score of APE group was significantly higher(P<0.001)than that of LPE group.Further analysis showed that the PEDT and NIH-CPSI scores were the strongest correlation(r=0.452)in the APE group. Each group of PEDT and NIH-CPSI score, the pain symptom score was the strongest correlation. Conclusion:APE is closely related to CP symptoms,APE patients may have more severe CP symptoms than LPE patients. The effect of CP on pain symptoms was closely correlated with PEDT score. |
